Need some help in corel x4

Ok...

Say I want a square with a triangle cut out of the middle.  How would I do that?

I know how to do it in inkscape, but the file i'm working with it a .eps so i can't open it in inkscape.

i'm working with the red diamond with the r cut in it.  I want to get the r by itself some how.

What I am wanting to do is use red viynl for the diamond and then place a white "R" in the diamond.

Am I making sense?

I'm currently on a computer without Corel or else I'd submit an example. Make a square, convert it to curves with fill, rotate it to align with the square containing the R. Place the Rockford Logo over your square and trim....you should be left with just the R on the square you created. Delete the remainder.
