Issues with flexi and creating a skin

Well I am trying to make a skin with my home printer and contour cutting it out for my iphone.. This is just a test...but I am having an issue with creating a mask for the cutout. So I found an iphone template and have loaded a bitmap that I want to add to the template so that it automatically prints to the iphone template so I can cut it. Well when I select the bitmap and my template it will only put a mask on the open areas of the template. Any idea of what I am doing wrong?

Well I was able to get the mask right after a few hours of working with it. But now I am having issues with the actual contour cutting. Granted I am using a homeade laserpoint system for my pcut (Duct tape and a cheap pointer from Walmart) but Flexi freezes on me and pops up an error message everytime I try to send the job to the printer so I downloaded a trial of Signcut and have to work with Corel Draw now. Does anything work the way it's suppose to? Seems like I am running into road blocks alot.
