europeancardriver 1 Posted December 1, 2009 Hello, I have project where I need to match several pantone colors to vinyl material. This will be higher end vinyl for large outdoor signs. I have the pantone color names. Is there a site online that sells avery? (best I could find that might have a match) or others by the yard so I can test various colors. I need 100's of yards and can not afford to make the mistake. Pantone colors are: pantone process blue, pantone 268, pantone warm red (179C) and pantone 109c. Also does the orcal bool thru uscuter have any patone call outs? Thank you so much in advance. Tyler
midwaste 4 Posted December 1, 2009 The Oracal color guide I have does not have any Pantone values. I would talk with a supplier that carries several types (I have recently been looking at N Glantz more) of vinyl, i.e., Avery, Oracal, 3M, etc. and have them send you color guides that you can compare to a true Pantone swatch book. Online and catalog representations are poor, at best. If you are potentially buying 100's of yards, you could possibly get Oracal or one of the other companies to do a special run in a Pantone-specific color, if you absolutely cannot come close enough with stock offerings.
