m33mcg 0 Posted November 1, 2007 I was wanting to know if the pcut or the procam could be used to print on vinyl, then be able to cut the labels. I need to cut 300 two color labels every three months. I am new to the plotters and am looking to purchase one this week. Thanks, Mike
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted November 1, 2007 these are cuttesr, not printers. I have a friend who prints labels on vinyl with a color laser printer but I know from experience that it will melt some vinyls.
go10go4 0 Posted November 1, 2007 There are vinyls on which you can print - laser or inkjet. See this site: http://www.papilio.com/inkjet%20waterproof%20removable%20vinyl%20media.html However, you would not be able to cut them as printed unless you had a cutter with optical registration. This allows the cutter to determine how the images are placed on the vinyl, and to then cut them accordingly. Without optical registration, it's purely a guessing game.
