robochan 0 Posted October 17, 2009 Is the PCUT worth the extra 50-100 dollors over the MH? Im planning on making indoor stuff and maybe some go kart/car stuff. Im going to try to get a cutter today. Thanks, Chandler
Jay2703 704 Posted October 17, 2009 I own the PCut and I think they are both about equal. Save the money and get the MH. Jay
robochan 0 Posted October 17, 2009 great thanks just got a 25inch MH, 3 rolls of vinyl and 300 feet of tape. I would like to use the cutter with 2 or 3 computers. Can i do that with the software it comes with? Any basic stuff a compleate new person needs to know?
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted October 20, 2009 Stay with a good vinyl - oracal, FDC, Avery, etc. watch out for cheap vinyl that is like shelf liner. Get a good xacto knife, cutting mat is great to have, and enjoy the cutter
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted October 20, 2009 also signblazer can be put on all your computers without a problem
NukleoN 34 Posted October 20, 2009 Yeah the MH is nice...and I agree with Dakota...get good quality vinyl! I've only ever used Oracal 651 and it's awesome. Super easy to weed. For automotive application (on actual car bodies) you might wanna look into 'cast' vinyl which has no memory and conforms to irregular surfaces better such as Oracal 751 and 951.
