billm75 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Hi, Just got my cutter and used it for the first time. Everything went great, loved the finished products. My question is about the blades that are shipped with the unit. Are they 60 degree or 45 degree, and what difference does the blade angle make when cutting vinyl for signs and vinyl for t-shirts? Thanks Bill
kenimes 42 Posted October 12, 2007 The blades that come with our cutters are 45degree which are used for most vinyl applications. The 60degree blades are a sharper angle and are used for thicker material such as sandblast mask or resist.
billm75 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Thanks that's what I needed to know. Didn't want to buy the wrong replacement blades!
firemalt 10 Posted November 28, 2007 From my understanding... can't the 60 degree blades be used for smaller sized text?
Popeye 0 Posted November 28, 2007 I believe they recommend 30 deg blades for thin material and smaller details.
