cutting through backing paper and dragging

I hav ea lp24 and it is cutting through the paper at 110 pressure and dragging and not cutting edges well. would the cutting strip need to be replaced?  how often does this need to be replaced? I did replace the blade.

sounds like you need to raise your blade up,  should only be sticking out just a bit,  also make sure your blade holder is tight and secure,  and that the carriage is on track correctly,, you can also make sure the cutting strip is securely down in it's place.

your blade should only be sticking out half the thickness of a credit card. i know that does not seem like enough but it is. this should also stop the dragging because the blade is getting caught in the cutting strip.
