This came from a RIP graphic that was done a few years ago at another shop, I'm hoping it's a common file that perhaps someone here has seen before? BannerJohn 1,324 Posted September 12, 2007 I had a dog image very similar to that once and here is what i did: Print out what you have,as large and as light as possible Get a black sharpie,wide tip. Trace over it directly Scan the traced image,and vectorize. It worked great for me. And has done so more than once since. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
edge 67 Posted September 12, 2007 Thanks I did just that with a pencil as markers bleed too much for me. I probably trace too slow. I attempted to scan and to also photograph the image. It doesn't help that I have a cheap scanner. When traced in Inkscape, I ended up with too much rough edge on the outline. Still haven't figured how to work with nodes and segments to smooth outlines.
