Laser Printer - Metallic Foil - Killer effects!

Recommended Posts

Guest Schramm

I was talking today with a guy in China via international chat as he saw that I sell metallic foil (not t-shirt foil just so you know), he explained to me a way to transfer foil onto laser printed designs.  I gave it a shot and here is my first attempt!  Friggin cool if you ask me!!!

All you do is print a design on a laser printer, cut a piece a foil the size of the design, lay another piece of paper over the top of it and then with your household iron set on low press the top layer of paper, let cool and this is what you get!!!  I dont know how this relays to the cutter forum but I just thought it was really cool so I thought I would share it!

I know it is really cool and so easy to do as long as you have a laser printer.

What kind of foil did you use?

Does it stick to anything that is printed in that sheet ?

Thanks for sharing it

Metallic hot stamping foil.  It only sticks to toner such is from a laser (not inkjet) printer or a copier.
