my black and white image wants to print in 2 colors

the above file only prints the words not inside the elongated oval.

How do i flatten the image so it cuts all the black lines?

You need to select the white text only then (while holding the shift key) select the black bullet then do a weld /punch through. Then you can delete the white text.

i can only seem to select one letter at a time. when i hold down shift while selecting i can select one letter then the oval gets selected.

You could punch each letter that way.

An EZ way to select groups of objects that are the same color is with the color selecter box.

Rightclick on the colors down on the bottom.

A little box will come up (The color selector box)

Select the white.

Drag a box around the letters (it will only select the white objects because the color selector box is just got white checked.)

Now........

Select the black in the color selector box while holding down the shift key.

Drag a box around everything still holding down the shift key

Weld punch through

Delete white letters by selecting them the same way again.

That seemed to work. I misunderstood that I had to do a weld command AND THEN a punch command.

This also happens alot when i try to cut numbers. The insides of the 8 etc... dont cut. When i look at

the wireframe, it looks like its all going to cut only to find out it does not.

Thanks again for your help! (oh, i could not delete the white text for some reason but the graphic looks good on the cutting board.

The easiest solution is to select all of the graphic and pick combine objects from the arrange menu.
