using refine cutter for fabric for applique

Has anyone used their cutter to cut out cotton prints for applique aplication? I'd also be interested in knowing if the cutter would be able to cut cotton fabric for making quilts. Anyone know? Thanks. Sandy

Just my 2 cents..I don't think it will cut material.

I emailed Ken, and he said people cut flock and tackle twill all the time with these cutters. You have to put the fabric on a sticky mat to run it through the cutter. I'm going to buy a Cricut mat from Walmart and give it a try.Sandy

Sandy you'll also want a 60 degree blade made for cutting twill.
