cegglestn 0 Posted March 25, 2009 Was going pretty good on the new laptop with the trial version downloaded on this site with the update. Now it cuts the design out once and than stops, the program will not let me cut again, and with one design it cut almost everything out than stopped and the cutter says waiting, the only solution is to restart the computer which is a big pain in the arse and start the program again. Is there anyway to fix this, im running vista, set up as admin and used windowsxp for last compatibility. Please help. Thanks chris Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
jfought 120 Posted March 25, 2009 you need a usb to serial cable. also you might need to ground you cutter static can build up and cause it to stop cutting. we have always ran our cutter off a laptop, we changed the cable and have not had a problem yet (knocks on wood). good luck Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
cegglestn 0 Posted March 25, 2009 The cutter is on the metal cutting stand so that should ground it? I only have usb ports on my laptop and one port for cat5 and the monitor port and only the usb connection on the cutter, how do I go about changing it?
