SLOW CUTTER SPEED

Recommended Posts

FRIENDS,

I HAVE BEEN DESIGNING SOME NAME STICKERS FOR MY GRAND DAUGHTER'S PEDDLECAR AND OTHER TOYS.  I AM USING COREL AND WANTED THE STICKER 2 COLOR AND FINALLY FIGURED OUT HOW TO GET THE BACKGROUND TO BE LARGER THAN THE FRONT COLOR.  TROUBLE IS THAT WHEN I LOAD IT ON SIGNCUT THE BACKGROUND CUTS AT AN UNBELIEVABLE SLOW SPEED, SO SLOW THAT IT KIND OF SHAKES THE CARRIAGE.  IT DOES CUT BUT... WHEN IT CUTS THE WEEDING LINES IT DOES THAT IN REGULAR SPEED.  THEN WHEN I LOAD THE FRONT COLOR WITHOUT ANY OUTLINE IT CUTTERS AS USUAL. ANYONE EXPERIENCE THIS?  OR IS IT JUST ME?

i have experienced the slow cutting speed with lots of shaking motion.

i have also found in most cases that if i go back into corel and reduce the number of nodes in the design everything will cut ok. corel.com has a tutorial on node reduction if you need further help on node reducing let me know,  daniel t
