firefighter1138 1 Posted February 27, 2009 I'm new to this and don't know what to charge for the little decals auto dealers put on the back of the cars they sell. Graphic is easy and will weed easy. Customer is small and only wants 75 decals, 25 white, 25 gold metallic, and 25 silver metallic. I think that Oracal 651 metallic will work. Open for suggestions on vinyl and price to charge. Thanks Jim

cohesion 0 Posted February 27, 2009 You should be ok cutting them as long as you don't have a Laser point...
bayshorecreations 30 Posted February 27, 2009 I did these a few weeks ago $1ea/100 1"x6" $1 each? You need to re think your pricing! No offense intended. I would have been at $2 - $2.50 each for those.
bayshorecreations 30 Posted February 27, 2009 You should be ok cutting them as long as you don't have a Laser point... I am thinking about getting a laser point. Do you mind if I ask why you say that? Just looking for all the feedback I can get on them. Thanks
cohesion 0 Posted February 27, 2009 It's great, it's just not good for small letters, atleast I haven't had any luck with it. I've heard others say the same. A glance in the Laser point area of the forum might help you make up your mind. I got the contour cut to work, I really like the LP over all, but I'm thinking of getting something else to have for doing small letters and details.

No offense taken! They usually buy white in larger quantities @ .60ea and I sub them out through versa-tags. I am in a very competitive market and this is exceeds the going price for smaller orders. Their raised letter license plate frames dont even cost them 2.50ea!!! If you can get a car dealer to buy your decals at that price, you're a fantastic salesman! I have an lp 24 and have cut letters as small as 1/8 inch tall without any problems they can be a pain to weed but no problem with the cutting.
