well i got my cutter today

i set it up and all...went to hit test cut and it brought the cutter to the right side and started making a loud like grinding noise..when i hit test cut it moves up and down but not side to side and still makes that noise...what could the problem be?

sounds like the carriage is off of the track.  make sure the black rollers are in the groove.

Bad stop switch on the right side, or possible motherboard issue, or combo of both.
