Breaking down the cost of Vinyl?

Recommended Posts

So far, I've got it broken down to $.45 a square foot. That's without tape, etc. Is that close? Or am I totally off?

I calculated mine at .32 cents a sq foot.

I pay about $60 for a 50 yard roll of 15" Oracal.

Oracal 651 24" x 10 yards from US cutter.

20.99 for vinyl + 9.99 shipping / 60 square feet = $.516 per square foot.

I figure and price all materials with linier feet. If you have a cut that is 20 in wide with 24 in vinyl, you are losing 4 inches of profit. There's no reason to lose money on materials!

Yeah, I round all mine up to even numbers also. 1.7 feet = 2 feet in my book
