gcomfx 0 Posted December 22, 2008 Original thread is here: http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php/topic,11926.0.html No responses so far, so I thought I would see if people only read certain sections. I'm trying to get into a 24" basic cutter system as economical as I can. If I can make it pay for itself, then I might upgrade later. My biggest problem is the software. I've read through the forum quite a bit and see different people are using different things. If all I'm wanting to do is cut from Illustrator, what's my cheapest source for doing so? routesmith 0 Posted December 22, 2008 US Cutter has VERY affordable cutters, why do you need a 24" if I may ask, US Cutter has a 12" MH series cutter for $269 which really is dirt cheap and they offer $9.99 shipping which is practically free. Wayne
gcomfx 0 Posted December 22, 2008 For $10 more I can get a US Cutter 24" off ebay? So how about the software... any help?
kenimes 42 Posted December 22, 2008 SignCut X2 or Flexi for Mac will accept files from Illy in .ai format.
gcomfx 0 Posted December 23, 2008 Thanks for the help! I've read about some cutting software that requires a yearly subscription. Do either of those? Sorry for all the questions, I want to do this right the first time.
