SIGNMAN 0 Posted November 28, 2008 just a couple of questions on banners is it best to apply wet or dry and do i need to go out and buy "banner vinyl" or will standard vinyl do that i use for vehicles etc
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted November 28, 2008 If a banner is glossy, I apply wet.If the banner has a matte or rough surface I apply dry. Any good vinyl will do. Cal is fine...Cast is not necessary for banners.

BannerJohn 1,324 Posted November 28, 2008 Judging from te specs that appears to be Calendered. Good stuff. and if you have used it before you know how it works. That would be good on banners.

Which means it's economy and not intermediate calendered.
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted November 30, 2008 I used that when I first started. It is fine for banners that are for short term usage...a year or less. Will last quite awhile indoor use. I've done a LOT of banners and even the cheapest economy vinyl seems to outlast the banner itself,or at least the time the banner is used.
