ccisigns 0 Posted November 27, 2008 I'm just getting ready to get into this field. My budget is $1000 to start-up. What do you suggest I get? My boys just started playing b-ball for the local rec center which is what gave me the idea. I would like to make hats/jerseys/t-shirts etc.. for area rec center teams and low-scale window signs, and vehicle lettering. So, I need a press for shirts & hats, a vinyl cutter, computer program. What else? I know I can buy a 24" cutter and a US Cutter 6-in-1 press for well under this but are these going to be OK for what I am doing? As for the programs, I have Illustrator but it is WAY above me. I have been doing logos for friends for awhile now on MS Publisher and am getting quite good at it. BTW this is part-time only.
