  1. Going through these instructions has led to a solution. We experimented with changing the settings as described in Large Scale Errors. We changed the Device Units Per Inch to a much smaller number. This cut a sample but too small. When we changed the Device Units Per Inch to the original value, the design cut the right size and the error was gone. Perhaps there was an invisible character in the field, or something stored elsewhere, but resetting these values manually has resolved the problem. Thanks for your help.
  2. Yes, thanks. As I say, the calibration and test cuts work fine. When I try to cut from a design, the blade hurtles across to the other side and the cutter crashes. After turning it off and back on, I put the blade back to the beginning and reset the origin on the cutter. I have tried area test as well to check that it wants to cut from a sensible place - which fitted properly into the vinyl. However, I have just found a possible route to a workaround. Selecting Autofit stops it from crashing but I now need to do some testing to ensure that I can make it come out the right size.
  3. Thanks for your response. I have been through the settings - trying each variant of the emulations that are supported by the cutter and checking all the COM port settings. The weird thing is that it seems to work on all setup and calibration cuts, but will not cut the actual design. If I reinstall the cutter with the wizard, it appears to be responding correctly with X and Y movements, with three successful tests and then installs the drivers. If I do the cutter scale option in the vinyl spooler window, the cutter makes a nice precise square. However, I have a design that consists of only one letter. When chosen in the list in Vinyl Spooler, the preview tab shows what is expected but pressing Cut Now sends the blade all the way across to the opposite side of the cutter which then crashes. I have also tried it on one of VM designs (Sample Sign 01.vDoc) with the same result. Stelvio
  4. I am trying to use Vinylmaster Ltr 4.0 software with the Foison C24 cutter and am getting nowhere! When I attempt to cut the vinyl the cutter moves all the way to one side of the vinyl, stops there and crashes the machine. The vinyl never moves at all. But if I try to do a calibration test cut it works fine. Anyone have any experience of either of these software or cutter? I could do with some help!
