Creation Pcut 630 Z axis home position?

Help required. The z axis on the cutter does not go up/down during a cutter programme. With no power to the machine the solenoid holds the cutter in the up position, when the power is turned on the cutter blade drops down, and when i run a programme it does not go up/down. Everything else appears to work fine.
