cardudenc replied to WDD's topic in SC Series Vinyl Cutter Discussions

not sure on a white banner, but I know for sure goo gone removes the color on a yellow banner. I wouldn't never try to remove that much adhesive. we was just trying to get rid of some residue left where he used to tape it on last time.

watching the last videos I'm going with the others with it looks like the carriage may not be seat properly. the front white roller looks to be in track. is the rear 1? primal told me the drop of oil tip, it worked. as far as setting the way I set mine was another tip I found online. just barely out and test it by hand on post it notes. correct only cuts the top sheet -

my sc came in damaged and wouldn't cut. had to replace the carriage. not sure , but I'm with iron bar. check to see if the tool holder is in the correct groove. I'm also a newbie. had my cutter since may. so I'm not sure if this will help, but I'm running a lot more pressure than you . on a lot of stuff I'm running speed at 300 and pressure around 100 -
Primal helped me with this. I now use Scalps4pro

lol, I'm sure sometimes u wished u didn't hear from me especially when its dumb basic things Ive forgotten again. I just wished I had found this forum b4 I started. Been several of you that has gave me some pointers and help since I joined in may. I don't know if primal likes the public call out of his good deeds, like I said earlier he has really done a lot, went out of his way to help me finish a dead line , really put himself out on that 1. stayed on the phone with me and we worked together to finish that design.my 1st arch. cant say I did much. mainly watched after telling him what I needed. then from my very 1st decal that was a graphic verse txt. ,to my last 1 . he has helped me look like I knew what I was doing. I just hope 1 day I can give back to him and this community as he and others have given to me. Happy Thanksgiving!! -
Wind Storm Equals $$$
cardudenc replied to slice&dice's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
we just survived hurricane Matthew. our area was hit pretty hard. I haven't seen any business out of it yet. I figure a lot are waiting on ins checks. I advertised giving discounts for all storm victims, I think handing out cards face to face would've done a lot better -

yes, When I made my 1st looking for help with a design post, I was expecting to pay someone for helping teach or send me a file of what I needed. then I received a pm from Primal with everything I needed and wanting nothing in return. That was months ago, now he has helped me in so many ways. at 1st I was trying to keep up with how much time he had invested with helping me. now its so much I have lost track. but time isn't all he has helped me with. he is definitely a great friend ,def glad I met him on here. I would still be scratching my head about a lot of this. -
@Primal Decals does it work?

that's what I'm hoping to do. after talking with primal looks like a comp. upgrade is needed also. so 2 goals for the up coming mnths. I'm going to look at a used mimaki cutter today. I hate we have side tracked this post. wasn't my intentions. was mainly letting the OP know its a common thing to start with a stepper and move up to the next level of servo cutters. after talking with primal I do believe the titan 2 is a good next step. not saying it is as good as a Graphtec or roland, just good servo cutter without the cost of 1 of those -

lol. I'm sure. when I started shopping for a cutter I wanted to keep my budget for a cutter and supplies to do my sign as the amount I was quoted to have it done. or I would've bought a titan. I found this site after I bought my cutter. I wished I had found it 1st. -

I believe the titan 3 has the fan. I was on the phone with primal and he was saying you could hear the vinyl feed thru his titan 2 . I ran some material thru the sc and he couldn't believe how loud it was, He made a cut with his and I could brely hear anything thru the phone. so I would def believe the titan being the quietest -

def the installation of 3'x12' decal for a beginner was a task to say the least. I think the sc did a decent job cutting our sign, but it was just txt. I'm sure a higher brand would've done a better job. only complaint I have so far with the sc cutter is noise. because of that I don't use it in the room that I was planning on doing all my vinyl work in -

was hoping Primal would respond, I knew he uses the titan 2 with good success . He is also the 1 that recommended putting a drop of light oil on the end of the blade that goes in the holder which solved a similarl issue I was having with my 54" sc cutter. The size of my business sign is why I went with a 54" cutter to be able to cut 48" material in the beginning. Being a newbie at all this I figured would be easier for me to do it it 1 piece versus trying to learn how to get 2 pieces to line up perfect being so green at this. I was leaning towards a LP2 until I called the guys at us cutter. they were the ones that talked me into a less expensive cutter to start with, then upgrade after I decided it was something I wanted to stick with. I still have a lot to learn, but I am looking at upgraded 24" cutters now. Thinking serious about the Titan 2 unless I decided I want to upgrade to something that will print. I plan on the upgrade doing most of the work for the shop and put the sc up until need for things bigger than 24" -
a link from google dug up this old post for me. what is 1 of these worth now or is it worth messing with?

Going on 45minutes waiting for an operator "Live Chat" Support.
cardudenc replied to Threader's topic in Website and Company Feedback
someone did follow up thru email, their only solution was for me to reorder the items and pay shipping charges again. I know its only 9.99, but when its an issue on a suppliers end . sorry but I feel like you go out of your way to help out customers. especially if its a legit complaint. I have been in retail sales most of my life, but spent a few yrs wholesaling art and framing supplies. all the shops I sold to were always shopping for the best deal on supplies. that way they could stay ahead of their competitors. I feel we did whatever we could do for our customers which aiding in the way our co. grew every year. -
Two things: Sales tax and item locations
cardudenc replied to bigfrank's topic in Criticism and Complaints about USCutter
I just had something similar. a few items in my last order was somehow not in it after I hit check out. so now to get vinyl I needed over a week ago I have to pay extra shipping charges and the other items are no longer at that price. I spoke with someone thru email and their only solution for the matter was for me to re order, then they closed the ticket. I did send back a response of why would I pay more to order it from them when I can have it next day from a local vendor cheaper. Now ordering it the way I did at 1st , 2 rolls at a time I do beat my local vendors price even with the shipping added. this is my 2nd problem with shipping with them . I'm just getting my business started, and have already spent thousands with a local vendor but only hundreds with us because of the issue with the 1st order. I now only order from them if I'm getting the best deal
