  1. I was reading in one of the threads last night and someone said not to feed off the roll. How else are you supposed to feed? My titan has two rollers on the back where the roll sits and seems to be of little resistance. I haven't done any large jobs yet so maybe that's why it hasn't been a problem. So far the longest thing I have done was for my truck and it is about 32" long. anyone have a video of their set up to help newbs like me? Thanks, Just a side note, I am loving this Titan II

feeding vinyl, off roll or ?

Well in my defense I can install a pen where the knife goes and it would become a "printer" LOL

feeding vinyl, off roll or ?

Well I'm not sure what was the issue but the first thing I did after searching here was to check for static charge. I didn't see anything but I was running off my laptop with no power cable (batteries) , I shut the program down, re started it with the power cord plugged in and it printed fine. Thanks for your help

feeding vinyl, off roll or ?

Thank you DS, Got another problem, I was trying to cut an old fashioned compass and it would just stop in the middle of the piece with only about 90% of it cut. Any ideas? Thanks Dave
  6. I am wanting to put a fairly large ram on the hood of my truck, somewhere in the 24" x 30" range. Just wondering what your opinions are on using some 651 gloss black which I have or ordering some matte black. My gut says matte. My truck is silver/grey, you can see it in the show your work thread. Thanks, David

    matte black vs gloss black

Thank you all for the feed back. You can tell I'm just a newb. I will look into the Avery SW900 Matte black. If you don't mind answering a question about the 651, why wouldn't you use it on a car/truck? I guess I have a lot to learn for the different applications. Thanks, David

    Can Not Print

You'll be posting pictures of what you made before you know it good deal, sucks that it came wrong though.

    Can Not Print

I hate to ask but are you trying to print? There are print and a cut Icons next to each other. The cut icon looks like your cutter tip. Just throwing things out there.

The only software I got (I actually didn't get any discs) was the VM CUT V4.0 if that helps? I did get a little padded envelope that said software included but it was empty. I guess I will contact them tomorrow and see what's going on. Good luck PS can you go to and download the software from their site?

One other thing you may want to check is the on line/off line button. I quickly got into the habit of pushing the reset button before setting up for each cut. I then mark the start corner of my cuts with the cross hair button. How come you are not using the software specific to the Titan II? I do remember having to download the proper drivers, perhaps the screen for that is a layer or two back? I love my machine so far. I thought it was quite simple to get started. Good luck, Dave
  12. I hate to admit this but I had my rollers adjusted improperly so the vinyl would "pucker" up in the center and cut just that much too deep. It took me a minute to figure out what I was doing wrong. I had one roller all the way off the roll, one on that edge and then two of them about 4" apart on the other side. Once I spaced them out the way they should be things have been going much better.

    Image CR question?

I searched a bit on copyrights of images but found no answer to my question. How do you know if an image you find on a search engine is copyrighted or not? If it is wouldn't it be stated somewhere on it or at least have a water mark? I'n not looking to do this for a primary source of income but a few sales isn't out of the question. Should I get my stuff trademarked? Or copyrighted? Thanks
  14. I just wanted to throw this out there for anyone considering buying a US Cutter Titan 2, I have never had a cutter before but chose this one because it has great features and what I consider to be a middle of the road price tag. I have cut some diamond plate as well as some Oracal 651 and it cuts perfectly. It's easy to get on line, quiet and quick. I happened to catch it on sale for 100 bucks off which went to material
  15. Believe it or not those tires only have about 10K on them, I run studded snows all winter and just switched back to these, I hate them. I was just thinking today I have to order up some General Grabber AT2's for her.

    Disaster.... Averted

Thank god for smoke detectors! Glad you and the family are all OK. Whew!
  17. Thank you. Yeah, my last truck was white and I had red diamond plate, I didn't want red again so when I found this color I knew it was for this truck. The truck is actually pretty dirty and it's very overcast. I will have to remember to take a pic once she's cleaned up and the sun is out.
  18. One thing I have noticed in my short experience working with vinyl is that letting it set a while (over night) might help it stick to the app tape better. Like dwp99 said, remove it upside down and it should be fine.
  19. As you guys and gals know I am a complete newb at this stuff. I understand that the blades come in different angles, 45*, 60* etc. Not sure if that is all or not. My question is which blade when? What blade works best for different materials. The only things I have right now are Oracle 651 and some Schein diamond plate. Thanks for the help.

    Blade selection, what and when?

    You are awesome, thank you.
  21. Unfortunately I won't be able to play with it for a while. I had a tooth pulled and some stitches and some pain meds today so I'm out for a bit. Maybe I can convince my son to put the stand together when he gets home . The blue diamond plate vinyl looks sharp, i cannot wait to see it on my silver truck. Any advice for cutting the diamond plate? I figure I'll just experiment with it.

My machine and vinyl came in today :)

I do have a question though, if anyone has used their software, I made the design and the three points are individual, I would like to make them one. For that matter I would like to make the entire thing one so I could re size it easily. Thanks in advance for any advice, you gotta remember I've never done any of this before.

My machine and vinyl came in today :)

Well folks I got her set up and running. Ran my first cut this morning. I'm not super happy with the software, it's kind of simple unless I'm missing something. It came with a license for Vinylmaster for Titan. It's pretty basic. I'm going to look into something else. anyway, here is a pic of my first design and cut. No P-bucket hmmm? Now what? Well anyway I swear I did make something! LOL
