  1. Hey BannerJohn , help me with a problem i have . When i clicked the link in 1 of your posts linking SignBlazer's forum. i tried to register & as i already told you , it logged me in as you . i tried to register again today & it is telling me that only 1 account per pc . Maybe someone on the SignBlazer site can wipe out any regitration from me ( RMyers3@aol.com ) so i can register ojn that forum .

    Thanks , Rodger Myers

  2. Hi BannerJohn , you are a good guy & i am planning on buying SignBlazer to replace SignCut that came with my cp-2500 ... but you are being a little too nice .... using the link to SignBlazer's forum. when i started to register , i logged in under your name . that's being too nice :)

    regards , Rodger Myers

  3. Hi , i started having a drifting & cutting overlapping problem . i'm very inexperienced but am progressing with Ken's help & this forum's help. THANKS . Would Daniel T explain more about the upper values on the front & lower values on the back ? i have a cp-2500 & only have a measureing type strip on the front with lines 3/8" spaced . i have 2 pinch rollers & seems there is a weird noise sometimes & when i check , cuting has overlapped . i have slowed the cutting speed way down & seems to help .

Would GG also expand about loading  the vinyl ? i have the vinyl coming in from the back . the optical eye is in front , so i think thats the way the vinyl is supposed to load ?

i make sure there is enough vinyl unrolled  , but i seems a few more pinch rollers could be needed ?

    thanks , Rodger Myers

  4. is Imperial inch the sane measurement we use in America as an inch ?

i have the trial version of SignBlazer , i size the workpage , the size of the text is way too big , i have been clicking , experiemnting but dont know where to size the text .

    thanks , rodger

  5. i unstumped myself  :read: . the 1rst pages of the manual dont respond . have to scroll down to get to an actual directory & the instructions . i pulled the pc off the desk with the 3' usb cord on my copam 2500 & runied the cable . all i can find is 6' replacements . will that cause problems ?

soon to buy SignBlazer , Rodger

  6. i was asking about the rebooting because of previous posts . i downloaded the trial version & it looks alot user friendly for folks like me who don;t have much knowledge in this area . i am stumped already though . i am trying to read the 7 hour instruction guide . i get the guide & the little hand moves around with my mouse , but i can't open anything .it said the registration # would be needed later i thought . thanks , rodger

  7. Hi , i hope it's ok to ask questions similiar to this topic instead of starting a new thread ?

i am getting to understand things alot more , but i can't figure out how to load the vinyl so it cuts starting at the edge instead of inchs in . i have read the Copam manual ( cp-2500 ) & experimented some  , but just am not getting it .

    thanks , Rodger Myers

  8. DGReenH , thanks , i thought going thru the SignCut website was the better way . i now understand the result i have been getting . i guess that is why i can find the cut out command in inkscape  .

Ken , ouch !!! i fear the dentist more than anybody , hope things went well & a speedy recovery ( i had a good bit of jawbone come out with 1 extraction ) i'll e-mail you & take you up on your offer to login on my pc .

    regards , Rodger

  9. thanks for the help . i have run it & saved it at least 6 times each , still every time i try it  , it goes to the download screen & the only way i go further is to download it again . i'm waitng for a friend who has a vinyl sign cutting business to have me come over & teach me  , patience is a hard thing to practice ...

    regards , Rodger    :chopper:

  10. sorry for the confusion . the problem is i'm confused . i am not sure if the layout software i get when i open inkscape is suppposed to be the same as when i open SignCut ? i thought SignCut uses inkscape software from what ive read ?

when i open SignCut ( from the favorite places in AOL ) & sign in ,  i try to open the inkscape layout software , but i have to download inkscape every time . when i open Signcut thru the desktop icon , i get a layout that is similiar but missing many icons???

i thought the Lpt was the best way to connect the cutter ( copam 2500 ) from advice on this board , but the old manual in SignCut says the 1rst choice is the comm port

when i try to open inkscape thru the desktop icon , i get a message " exception processing c0000013 parameters 75b6bf9c4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c " i have to cancel & then i get the inkscape layout .

thanks & sorry that i can't connect the dots  , Rodger Myers

  11. Hi , i've read the entire SignCut section many times trying not to duplicate questions  i know with as many people starting it has to be trying for the helpers & i do appreciate the help .

when i go to the SignCut site & sign in , click on inscape layout software ,  it always goes to the download inscape for windows  . i have downloaded it several times & still does it ;D?

i get a different layout screens than when i click on the desktop inscape icon or the SignCut desktop icon ( not as many vertical icons & no measuring details )

i have 512 ram & have more ram to install as soon as i get somebody to install it ( thinking that might be my problem ? )

i have found inkscape tutorials on youtube that in informative to me . probally would help fellow newbies .

    thanks , Rodger

  12. i'm a newbie on this board & have a cp-2500 on it's way .

Seems you might get away with small non-official orders , but that # is copyrighted more-so than most Nascar stuff & they go after infrigments vigorously . that said , i would like to be able to make that # also :)

    regards , Rodger Myers

  13. i know i probally am asking questions that have been answered , but as i explore this new site i'll ask as i come across unknowns .  i am planning on buying a Copam 3500 . ive read so much , i cant remember what applies to what . can i use 24" rolls ? can this cutter " cut 2" letters into 3" peices " as 1 of the cutters i was reading about says it can ?

is there any difference in the Copam 2500 & 3500 other than being able to cut bigger stuff ?

    thanks , Rodger
