    mH721 Carriage Wiring

WE already replaced the Zchip, no change, changed the carriage, no change.

    mH721 Carriage Wiring

Still having this issue folks. Could this be because we are using the Trial of SignBlazer Elements? I've been using the trail for about 4 years now and never had this issue. If this is the culprit (the movement lines are also being cut, not just the image I want) how do I fix it. I don't mind purchasing the product.

Yep. Nevermind. Switched the soldiers around. Isn't the woman always right?

    mH721 Carriage Wiring

Our MH 721 recently stopped lifting the blade up when cutting so we'd see all the movement marks. POsted on here and was told to replace the Z chip, did that- no change. Next, replace the Carriage. Well, got the carriage today (on note- it seems to of been used, from US Cutter, not so happy about that) and my husband actually took the old one apart and got it to flow seamlessly like the "new" one did BUT when he put it all back together it was backwards, we saw the directional path was cut but not the actual part we needed. He told me to pop on here and ask for some wiring instructions. I insisted that if it's backwards then he must of soldiered the wires backwards, he said it wasn't as easy as I thought to remove the solider. In any event, he's behind me un soldiering while I type. Any help is appreciated.

    Blade not Lifting, MH721

How do we replace the Electromagnet? When moving the arm up and down it makes a dragging noise and it makes a rough cut. if you put a little press on it moving it out it moves freely. It seems either the Z chip helped a bit or when we replaced the (slightly cracked) arm the dragging isn't as bad but you can still see all the movement lines of where the arm should be lifting up and starting the next cut but just drags across the vinyl.

    Blade not Lifting, MH721

Not sure if some settings were messed with or not but turned my little guy on to cut and now the blade will not lift up. Not when turned on or off or loading or unload or even when cutting. It is cutting my items perfect except you can see many additional cuts where the blade should of lifted and the vinyl shifted to its new spot. It's like writing on a piece of paper with the pen never leaving. Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated.

    Heat Transfer must haves?

Thanks I'll try that out! But as far as NEEDING anything else that's all there really is to it right?
  11. I have a vinyl cutter and recently bought a roll of the heat transfer vinyl. I just used my iron to iron the decal on the shirt and it came out nice but started to pull apart from the garment a few washes down the line so I assumed I needed a higher heat like a heat press. So, long story short, I've been looking into buying a heat press but other than the actual heat press is there anything else I NEED to have? There are special papers out there I can use a regular printer to print on and then use the heat press to transfer to a garment correct? But since I have the heat transfer vinyl that's a good start right? Just needing some information so I'm sorry if this is a repeat question

Trying to get Serial port to work to no avail?

Ok, did that. There were three things one was for a mac, and two were for a windows. I loaded the mac one and did a restart and nothing. Again, we are using parallels but there were no Windows XP drivers just some windows OS and windows 98_ME? When we load the sign blazer on the parallels it finds the serial port and everything but when you Cut it just has a loading box like it's going to cut but never does then it "stops responding" and you have to fiddle with the settings in parallels to get it to stop stop responding... if any of that makes sense?
  13. My husband bought one of the serial to usb cords to use with our MH 721 on our Mac. We are currently running Snow Leopard, by the way. There was some driver that came with the cord but the disc was really small and he said he couldn't get the disc to go into the slot drive (well he tried and said he almost got it stuck so didn't try again) We run Parallels on the mac to use the sign blazer, so we've plugged the serial into the cutting port marked LPT and the usb into the mac and nothing will cut? Any ideas?
  14. Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll admit I didn't have time yesterday to scroll through allll the posts looking for some title that matched mine exactly. I'm using a Mac OS Snow Leopard with Sign Blazer installed through Parallels, cutting on a run of the mill MH721 (I'm not a cash horse over here, haha) I do use a USB cable and now that you mention it recall a long time ago someone mentioning to use the serial cable. When I get some free time (between my three jobs and being pregnant and taking care of my household) I'll look around more. But again, I do REALLY thank you all for giving me some clues in the right direction as to where I can start my investigation which is great because before it was like feeling around in the dark. Thanks and good day.
  15. Long story shot... have had the cutter for just over a year now and have had more dang issues with it than anything. I literally hate doing work on it because SOMETHING always goes wrong. Today my husband and I were cutting birch trees for our nursery they were 94" tall by 7" wide. We placed two on one snd they printed wonderfully. We got them installed and on to the next set (we were doing a total of 5 trees altogether). We put two on one run and hit go the cutter stops 3/4 of the way through the first tree. UGH! We have learned that you need to unplug the cutter after a while (we do it after every use) so the "memory" gets cleared out because we had this issue in the past and have wasted a LOT of vinyl on the subject. Sooo... I'm curious why the first run went through fine, and they were actually large trees where as these trees were much smaller, and now on the second try the cutter starts acting funny. Anyone have any suggestions? I hate to sell the machine because #1 it HAS paid for itself this year we've had it so the little extra income is nice & #2 I like having the option to go cut something for myself if I ever want to... trouble is I'm getting near the point where I don't want to. Thanks for hearing my rant and any suggestions on how to troubleshoot the issues outline above would be very helpful.
