How is the lag time on the macbooks? I use an imac mostly but have been considering buying an additional macbook pro and was wondering if the processor bogs at all with illustrator? I know even my desktop will slow up sometimes when rendering large tracings or 3D images.I use a 2013 Macbook Pro with Illustrator and Photoshop both running and never get any lag. I do have 8 gig of ram however.

The impatient part of me wants to get the cheaper one and start there...The smarter part of me says gather a few more bucks and be satisfied I didn't buy something that was gonna die on me. Then again, you said that was a decent press for the money.
Wow, I hate when this happens...LOL

I ordered a sample Monday just got a ups next day air package with 2- 8.5x11 sheets of what I wanted to try...WOW, that was quick
-
OK, maybe I should of ordered it when I was all ready. After poking around I'm tempted to order this one instead...I like the 2 year warranty.

I have to think the quality is up a notch?
Then again it kills me for HTV and some shirts....aghhhhhhhhhhhh
-
Just thought of something...Will I be able to do sublimation with this?
-
Sisser is the easiest to weed of the three I have in stock...(Sisser, Fibron & ThermoFlex Plus).
Old shirts are okay...but why waste a perfectly good design?
Go for it!
Check out the outlet shops for marked down Ts...just be sure to
wash them in case they have sizing or other treatments on them
to prevent wrinkling.
AND REMEMBER MIRROR!!!

OMG
Never even thought of that....Wooohooooo Thanks for the important tip

Great advice so far. Just watched a few videos...WOW, that stuff looks like loads of fun to weed.......Nope
I think I'll put off my order till tomorrow after I have tim ego look at these items..Pillow etc.
Sisser easy weed a good place to start? Anyone ever use old t-shirts to practice on? Wasn't sure if washed shirts are a bad idea.

Thats it...Teflon Sheet.
Is there a How to video someplace? Don't want to sound like a dork but have no clue where to use the teflon sheet...LOL

http://www.uscutter.com/5-in-1-Heat-PressThis one, but i'm already wishing I would of gotten a larger one. I know it's not the best quality one out there, but it seams to work really good. I'll probably upgrade after the first of the year.
Gonna get one today I think....Thanks for the info
Think I'll do the 15x15 swing arm
-
Gonna take the plunge and go for the heat press. This is what I plan on getting

Can anyone give me a list of other things I might need to get started. I know I need some t-shirts and Vinyl. Any suggestion on what vinyl? What Shirts?
Also, anything else I need besides the vinyl and shirts. I know I saw something about using some type of sheet or something between the press and shirt...Dont remember.
Look forward to this!!

Awesome info...Thanks for the heads up.
Time to breakout the camera or go shopping

Not sure if I'm not googling it right or what but I can't seem to find many wall templates. The photos you can add your decals on in photoshop. Like a mock up. I can find most anything else.
I see them all over easy. these folks are getting them somewhere??
I know after someone post where I'm bonn feel like a goof

What Heat Press did you end up getting?
-
Thanks

Yea, I think I need to breakdown and buy some HT55 for my 631. Not sure why the 4076 is giving me fits with the 651 white.....
-
And when I say acting up, it's only on the white vinyl. Oracal 651 for some crazy reason the tape listed above does not want to stick to the craft paper backing on white oracal 651. It's the blue colored backing paper. every other color does fine more or less.
I'd like to try some main perfect tear but the link below is all I can find local..is that the stuff everyone or most like?
I like fellers for quick stuff because they are like 20 min from my house
I'd also be curious how it works with Oracal 631

Ive got my eye on a us cutter unit that has pretty good reviews.
-
Everything I find is watermark....Copy write etc. Something like snowboard goggles
I tried doing my own by taking a pic of mine then try to vector...Yea, train wreck...lol
Thank in advance

Yea, I don't have a set size I've been cutting more of than another. I will say that ordering 50 yard rolls is a bit cheaper than getting 10 yard rolls. I found I went thru the one roll of 15"x10yard roll of white pretty fast.
I think my next order of white is gonna be 50 yards. Im just debating 15 or 24 inches
-
What size rolls do you find you use the most. Largest I can go is 24" I've been ordering 15" rolls. Not sure I'm doing myself a dis service?
-
WOW, that looks great!

At least you can fit a car into your Garage...Mine, toys from wall to wall...Heated, sub floor...Yea, no cars in there!

Question regarding sand blasting...

I went to do one and my wife said sandblasting the "glaze" off a coffee mug would ruin it eventually. Guess the ceramic would be exposed to water when washing and thats a bad thing...LOL I guess you could seal it?
