  1. I'll release the thread for $1,000,000 and a plane to take me someplace warm. If my demands are not met I start deleting posts. ;D

    LOL

Thats a good one.  I actually started looking into sublimation after reading a few things here.  So if anything I can blame you all for getting me hooked on yet another thing!!!

I gotta say its pretty interesting stuff.......  "Oh honey, my christmas list just grew"!!

  2. From someone that had a Titan 3 and now A Graphtec I can give my 2 cents and not even sure my opinion is worth that right now being so new.  I ordered the Titan 3 and was thrilled with it.  First cutter ever and I fell in love.  I thought the ARMS was very cool.  Then the power switch or power supply started to act up so I called USCUTTER and we did some trouble shooting over the phone.  They decided that I needed to send it back and they would send me a new one.  I came into a few bucks and asked them if I could just pay the difference and get the Graphtec CE 6000.  They said no problem.

When I got the Graphtec is when I noticed the big difference.  The stand..The Machine everything was "different"  Like the difference dakota mentions in cars.  The stand took minutes to put together and was like Custom Made.  Light, Clean and sleek.  After using the Graphtec It was night and day.  The Titan is a good machine but I don't think it's in the same league as the Graphtec.  It's a feel and Fit and Finish thing.  Hard to explain.  If you had both it's almost a no brainer.  I hate to say it that way but it is.

I know some people don't use the polling feature but I love it!  no guessing, nothing.  The Media Sensors are top notch.  I know some disable it but I have not had to yet.

So, having had both. I would choose the Graphtec every time!  Good thing is either choice and you will be happy!

  3. Well, I did a few shirts today and I think the came out OK.  I tried to pick the HTV off one shirt and that was a no go.  Next step is to run them thru the wash.  I backed the pressure way off because I think I was about to break the darn thing.  Almost took two hands to un clamp it.  I gotta think thats way too much.  I can see the material faintly thru the HTV so I think I'm good.  I hit it at 310 for 15 sec, took of the backing and then hit it again with the teflon sheet for another 15 sec.  Might crank the heat up

Question, Is it normal for a colored shirt say red to turn darker red where you pressed it?  Seems to go away after awhile

  4. Broke down and bought the UScutter swing arm press some recommended here.  Fired that baby up and watched the room light s dim...I think this thing could use a dedicated circuit!

Anyway, cut a few sheets of Siser easy and played with some old t shirts.  Learned a few things the hard way...One time I cut on the shiny side in the cutter..Yea, that was dumb.

I'm trying to figure out the right pressure.  I think at first I was using way too much and honestly I'm afraid to break this thing.  I read here that someone suggest using a sheet of paper until you just can't pull it out.  If I do it that way I for sure had it set with way too much pressure.

I'd like to set the machine at 325 and 15 sec, pull the off the clear backing and hit it again.  I used a teflon sheet but didn't want to use it after I pulled the backer off.  Is it ok?  Or should I get a separate piece of parchment to hit it again?  I don't want to gum up my teflon sheet.

I'd like to give the decal a more dull look or more textured.  I'm all ears for what people use to apply different "feel" to the HTV.

Also, I'm sure extension cords are a nono right?

Any suggestions on work area as well for this baby.  I'm thinking cabinet on casters...This thing needs some room to swing all the way open

Man I can tell this thing is gonna be a riot....wooohoooooo

  5. I'm looking for some of the experts here to see if they will share the install instructions they use for their customers.  I just got my first order from Etsy and I'm like on cloud nine.  Small order for one decal super simple but It's my first!  Now I'm sitting here trying to think of what to include with the decal and find my ability to explain things on paper or in type....SUCK..lol

My first official decal will be cut with Oracal 651

Also, a small 5x5 decal, how do you usually ship.  I was thinking a small padded envelope with the decal between 2 pieces of cardboard maybe.

I gotta say Gang....I'm thrilled to death right now and I have to say none of this would of happened without the help I have gotten here!!!!

Did I mention how excited I am....

    Wooohoooooooooo

  6. So, pulled the trigger and I have some HTV on the way as well as a press etc.  My Graphtec CE 6000 is set up perfect now to cut Oracal 651 and 631.  With the HTV I have on the way will I have to adjust my blade in the blade holder at all?  I have a few other holders as well as a holder for the 1.5 size blades.

I dont figure I really need the 1.5 holder but I have it and if I can use it for something it would be nice.  Maybe the glitter?  I didn't order any rolls yet, just several sheets of different stuff.  All Siser.

Really looking forward to cutting my teeth on this.

On an off topic note.  I also ordered a few yards of different 751 to try...Pretty sure it's gonna spoil me big time.

    Thanks Everyone

    Joe

discount the day AFTER you ordered.....a considerate vendor would be nice
