    I've been using the same cutter/ PC USB connection for 4 years and on Wednesday, SignBlazers has been displaying an error message every attempt I make to cut out an image. "can not open the output device. Error initializing cutter." I'm thinking it's something wrong with the USB connection on the board of the vinyl cutter. Sidenote, Is there anywhere I can buy a compatible serial cable to use with my cutter and my desktop computer instead of my laptop?

    So if I go this route since my USB connection on my Board is 100% non-functional, would I have to install any new driver?

    Where would I buy the actual cable to use bewtween the adapter and the cutter? I misplaced the one that came with it years ago since I only used USB at the time.

    How do you know if a solder joint is "cold" or not? I'm thinking that's what is wrong with my MH871 Cutter but I have no soldering experience.
