  1. Thank you everyone. I am an almost totaly rookie and making reusable stencils of of SSB and still trying to learn th software. I have struggled all week trying to figure out how to delete a portion of path while still maintaining the remainder of the line. There are several spots I need to do this so that the stencil holds together as one piece. Pardon my bad typing. I have hand tremors and sometimes double tap the key.

  2. Thanks so much for what you have done. I had planned on not weeding all the small spots and just leaving them in. The one that darcshadow did is very close to what I need because the stencil is going to be used to lay out the main features very lightly and then I'll free hand the rest. I probably didn't explain it very well but what I am after is an outline with the major features in it that I can cut. I'm not after the detail and textures because I can do those by hand.

  3. I have a photo that I have turned into a vector to use as a basic stencil for an airbrush painting I am going to do. I have cleaned up the smaller whit dots and circles in the dark area because that I what will be cut out and they will be useless there. I am trying to preserve some of the larger paths inside the black and connect them to the main stencil.  ( white part).  I have tried almost everything and can't seem to modify the existing shapes so they will connect. I'm sure it's a simple process so I will try to attach my original and the SVG copy I am working on. Any advice would be appreciated. I am using the trace function to get to the SVG and it just doesn't seem that accurate.  Can any of you experts help me with this?

  4. Please don't throw anything at me for this total Inkscape newbie. I have been editing nodes and have no problem in deleting them but I have no success in adding them. What is the simple answer to this. Thanks for bearing with me on this dumb question.

  5. I am sure this has been answered before but how do you re-size an Image in SCALP pro?  Also a friend tells me he cuts his stencils twice at a lower pressure to save wear and tear on his machine. I just got a MH-721 and I'm new to cutting stencils for airbrushing. Any help would be appreciated.

  6. Thank you, this is exactly what I needed to know. I finally got tired of buying stock stencils and want to move up to some custom ones but I have to learn the software and machine first. I think I'll test it with the pen before I try to actually cut any stencils.

  7. I am very new to plotters and just received my MH721. I will be cutting 24 inch SSB mostly and I have yet to figure out how to set a new start point on a roll that has already had a stencil cut out. I want to maximize my material and cut mostly 12X18 stencils so I have an extra 12X18 of material after each cut. I know it has to do with adjusting the XY axis but can't find it in any tutorial or Youtube video. I am using inkscape and SCAL. Can anyone help with this?
