Cool. Thanks. I suspect the underlying culprit is the parallel port which sits on a PCI-Express card. Too much new technology for the older SB.

Jay, thanks for the advice. I tried the system driver installer 7.5.8 while I Was waiting, without luck. I'll try again though. There is are few more in the list. Dave K

Hi, I am trying to set up SB 5.5 Pro with a parallel dongle on a Win 7 Pro 32-bit PC. This is on behalf of a client who purchased the original code, dongle and passwords some years ago but now his trusty Windows XP machine has finally died. For now I have left AV software out of the system. The parallel port is (perhaps unfortunately) a Sunix IO card with two LPT ports. I ran up Windows 7 Pro 32-bit and installed SB 5.5 without issue. But starting SB gives the error message HASP device driver not installed (-100) This error didn't pop up when I installed 5.5 on a spare XP machine. Which brand of HASP device is the SB dongle? Is there something else I am missing, apart from drivers? Thanks Dave K
