Great advice slice, but I'm curious as to how you will choose the "top 40" fonts? They seem to change with the trends. Or are you referring to the top 40 most popular for your shop?

Layering is not an option if you want to recreate the stock look. Those are printed decals.

Man that sucks! Hard lessons learned I'm sure. At least you're using your equipment.....mine has been idle for some time now

Hydro dip is crazy cool! However I did watch a guy wrap a full faced helmet at a convention once. He ran the heat gun quite a bit and was not finished with it when I left three hours later. GC was there and he may recall the labor involved.

My wife wants to have old school game night again soon. She likes original Mario bros but I'm a sucker for some Contra.

How about other options for clean clipart without copyright issues at a fair price?

Looking good DNA! I use to pump quarter after quarter into the Rampage game at the arcade back in the day. Once in a while I'd have enough cash left to buy a heat pressed T-shirt on the way out. Good times!

Sounds like a good time goose! How many spins on the used mil? What tranny do you have?
-
That's a great font!

Nope I didn't take it as rude either.
You know it's funny, I miss out on some family and friends reunions, parties, major life changing events heck even deaths because I don't have facecrack. It's pretty sad. Great marketing tool for business but you can keep the rest!

So it sounds like I can get by with a cheapo then. Good news. Thanks!

I need to purchase a temp gun to keep an eye on my press. There are many available in every price range with mixed reviews on them all. I know you guys mentioned buying a "good" quality gun but what does that mean exactly? Is it possible to stay under $50 for a decent IR gun? The one I borrowed to check my used press before I bought it was a $240 unit with more features than I care for or need. Let me know what you guys settled on and why. Thanks

Just keep the ad updated. It's good to show the items you have sold and the successful transactions you have been involved in. It gives buyers more confidence especially with a lower post count.
-
Any updates (besides the printer issues)? Are you open for biz? Care to share pics of the place? Just curious.

I just went back to Sal316's first forum post. Seems the company purchased the equipment for their own in house work. They stand to save a lot of money having you do it. Hopefully you are being well compensated. There is definitely a lot worse things you could be doing for work.
-
That's $43,000
Is this a company you work for? Are you making the decals with your equipment and installing them for your hourly rate?
-
Thanks! It is a screen print transfer. Otherwise known as a plastisol transfer.
I think the design is too big for the onesie but this is just for practice and the prego wife really liked it. I know better than to argue with her

Awesome site thanks for sharing !! Do you know if there stuff is licensed ? Ie. Ford,Army etc?

Treat those like any other copyright and stay the hell away from them.
The transfers I liked the best out of what I purchased to fool around with are from X-it . They had brilliant colors and were user friendly. I have washed and dried one piece 30 times and it still looks great. I spoke with the guy from X-it and he is very nice. He is willing to work directly with business owners for custom transfers etc. I haven't pursued it any further yet as I have been too busy.
