  1. Node edit to smooth the edges you want to smooth. As far as distorting text, about all you can do with SCALP is text on path.

    Thanks Eazy!!!

  2. I'm using a "Tattoo" font and it has jagged lines in the middle of each letter,

is there a way to straighten out those lines?

Oh and I wanted to see if there's also a way to distort the words I'm writing,

such as... "Fish Eye" a word....

If you have any comments or advice, please let me know!

    BTW I use SCALP!

    Thanks

  3. In SCALP  it's better to ungroup than break apart. If you break apart, the centers of letters such as A, o, p, etc will stay behind when moving. You can always break apart then group each individual letter.

Thanks Eazy! I was actually wondering how to solve that with an image the other day! You just solved a secondary problem of mine! Thank you very much!

  4. I don't use SCALP, but I just tried it with the version I have.

Select  all TEXT, right click your mouse,  it shows BREAK APART.>click it.  This ungroups your letters.

Then you can select each letter individually, then it looks like you use that NUDGE, to move it.

But Break Apart lets you work with the letters individually.

Worked for me with SCALP 3.

You are AWESOME Mz Skeeter!!!! That was so easy... i feel dumb now.. lol

    THANKSSS!!!!

S0000 I'm trying to cut an image i saw online onto some vinyl. but i KEEP FAILING AT THIS!! ):

     I'm using a cutter laserpoint II w/ SCAL3pro...

Here's what I tried to do...

I import an image from an image i saved from the internet and cut it, it makes all these crazy cuts and practically demolishes the vinyl. They look like overlaping cuts or something. Is there a specific way to get rid of those? How do I edit out all those cuts? Is there a way?? I youtubed some stuff and saw the "trace image" and "welding" but neither actually made the cutout well... Jeeeez, I'm losing my mind with this thing.

    Please help!

    I'd appreciate it!!

this is the image i want...

im not even going to show yall the "masterpiece" i created with the cutter..

  6. Ya'll are awesome mb20music, jaybird, slice&dice!! I appreciate the speedy responses too!

Also, do you guys know how i can "sharpen" the image I've welded? The edges of the letters are all, hmmm how would I desecribe them... choppy, skewed, not straight.. is there a way to line them nicely?

  7. Hey!!

I'm completely new to this whole world of cutters, and I have a US Cutter Laserpoint II.

I need some guidance with the SCAL Pro software (or if anyone can suggest other softwares to use with it). I've been trying to cut this "Paul Walker" quote, vinyl decal for my car, but every time i import an image and try to cut it, it's just a complete mess of overlapping cuts. Is there any way to make the image a solid image and not have all the little random cut pieces in it (if that makes any sense at all)

    PLEASE H E L P & Thanks!!
