    Vinyl For Boat

I would use 951. I do vehicle graphics and because of the life and durability that's all I use. Boats will be exposed to lots of elements and will need something durable to last and look good for years to come.
  10. Hey everybody I have been doing vinyl work for several years and as a graphic designer I am no stranger to screen printing either. Well in an attempt to broaden my business a bit I have been toying around with getting into shirts and also offering koozies and other apparel, mostly going to be for car clubs and groups that I already do work with. Being that I have worked in a screen print shop before I know that is not the way I want to do them. I found an inexpensive kit that comes with a 9x12 Geo Knight Jet Press and wondering if that is a good machine? I know nothing about heat presses but again small runs of stuff and still learning how to do them I don't feel it is necessary to have the biggest baddest top of the line press...yet anyways lol. Also if anyone has a better recommendation than the Jet Press I am open to suggestions...this is just what I saw as the best bang for the buck.

    Help!! with Corel Draw

It's for personal use not selling the logo. I am doing a "logo parody" for a friends car using the Turbo 6...kind of to mock GM guys since its going on a Ford lol. Should be pretty cool when it is finished. I get Adobe for free through work...being that Illustrator does everything I need and more I felt no reason to pay for extra software license I probably wont even use. Thanks for the help glad I found this forum!

Would be greatly appreciated...and this may not be the last time I ask for help lol. http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/logo/buick-grand-national-emblem

Are there any Mac users out there?

Please elaborate I've never heard of Graphtec Cutting Master? I got a free (been using it for 2 years so not sure how long it lasts) Signcut license with my cutter so never really looked beyond that.

Are there any Mac users out there?

Probably...I am a full time graphic designer (decals are my hobby) and get Adobe software for free. I have used Corel before but Signcut also has an adobe plugin that I can send my finished .ai files with just a keyboard shortcut. It's quite nice. Prelayout in adobe and send to Signcut. Match made in heaven for a Mac user.

Are there any Mac users out there?

I have a 27" iMac running Mavericks and Adobe CC suite...I use Signcut Pro as my cutter software because I WILL NOT own a PC even it is just to run Flexi

    Best affordable heat press?

I was thinking a bit bigger might be better too. Hmmm this may be the answer to my prayers right here lol. Just want something large enough to do simple designs and get a feel for the whole garmet printing thing. Right now my main canvas is trucks so im curious to see how different this is. What materials do yall use? I want some that I can cut on my plotter and also will be interested in looking into printable sheets later on as well.
  20. New here and having a few issues. I have had my plotter for over 2 years now and never had any real noticeable issues with cutting. Was doing some small text and noticed it was very jagged and the lines were not straight. Also noticed this on some medium size text this weekend. Even on round objects such as a 0 it looks like the blade skips leaving several jagged areas and a few uncut places. I lowered the solenoid a bit like a read in a different thread...didn't seem to do the trick. Any tips or advice? Thanks in advance.

    CR630 cutting uneven lines

Yeah I have done that and even switched to my 45 degree blades but still has areas where it's happening. Not sure my next strategy but maybe the machine is telling me it's time for an upgrade lol

    Weekend fun

Awesome! I bought my plotter to do mostly graphics for my truck as well but when I started posting pictures on the F-150 forum I found out my designs were in high demand lol. Now I rarely get to spend time doing them for myself anymore.
