Having the same issue today. Haven't had my machine on or even plugged in for months and when I do it is directly connected to a surge protector. Changed fused (even though it wasn't even popped), tried a different cable, and then continued to open to check the connections. Everything is sound and no connections broke. Of course it goes down when I have work coming in...
