Greetings all I am trying to make a gift for my grand daughters wall from a license plate blank. I would like to use vinyl for this project. I think that I have it all worked out but a small problem, I would like the cut out the lettering in vinyl using Collegiate lettering but I would like the letters to be colored vinyl. Welcome from Ohio Chip. I also am a home crafter trying to make a few bucks making Ham decals and other small trinkets. This is the place to learn about the vinyl and sign trade. Be sure to check to see if your XP is 32bit or 64 Bit version. Check to see if win7 will support you printer and other devices. Jerry

Greetings all; Downloaded SB from the posted site, and made cd of everything and started the install. After much hair pulling and turning off all virus protection I was able to get SB installed but one error came up that I didn't know about. said "issproc.x64 failed. what's that? I have made some test cuts and everything seems to work. However I am trying to view some EPS files and can't seem to load them. I went to Ink Scape and created some vectors and saved them as EPS file but still can't get them to load. Can some one help me? Thanks Jerry

Greetings all I am trying to create some text in a circle there will be two lines one at the top and one at the bottom of the circle, and am having trouble getting the text the same size and fitting in the circle without being distorted. can someone point me in the right direction to complete this task? Thanks to everyone that replayed to my post. I am learning a lot here. everyone is very helpful. by the way I am using sign blazer Elements. Trying to learn the software is a new experience for me. Don't have Corel Draw or any of the other expensive software. Just a home hobbyist trying to make a few bucks at craft shows. Greetings All; I have been working with SCALP and am wondering if there is a way to put an outline around text? I an doing some amateur radio call letter window decals and cannot figure if it is possible to create a outline around them. I have my first try in scalp which I will post, The decal I have made is 2 layer base layer is black the second is orange, this is not how I want the decal to be made. I would like to have the black around the letters. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance Jerry

Greetings all; I have a lot of 12"x12" sheet vinyl that I would like to make into decals , My question is do I use a carrier sheet to cut, or feed the sheet vinyl into the cutter under the feed rollers? Oh and thanks to the members that helped me with the other questions that I ask. Jerryf

Greetings All Just installed my US Cutter MH 721MK2 today and am trying to figure how to do testing with the plotter and I am not sure how to do the plots. I have done a little testing and can not seem to get the paper in the right location. Is there some videos showing how to install the paper into the plotter? Any help would be appreciated . Thank you for the replay. I opened SCAL and created some text on a 8.5 x 11.00 mat then placed paper in the plotter, facing the plotter the paper was on the right side about 3 inches from the side of the cutter. When I sent the plot to the cutter it started about 5 in over and ran off the paper. I guess I have a lot to learn about SCAL. jerry

Hello All; Was reading some post here where someone cut logos and other images and there was a law suite brought, and was wondering what about these sign suppliers selling cd's of vector images and logos to us, is that a copyright problem when we have paid a fee for the images? inquiring minds wants to know.
