Your best bet is to read the posts on this forum on cutters and gather all the info you can before you buy one. These guys know their machines and can really help. I'm in the process of looking for a larger cutter than my MH-365 also. Haven't picked one yet though. By the way, welcome.

When I do my glass blasting I cut a graphic stencil and remove the vinyl from the areas that I want to be shown. Basically, if I was wanting to have the word "car" to be the graphic blasted, I would weed the letters form the vinyl and save the outer area. You would then, after cleaning the glass, apply the vinyl to the glass. Mask off all areas that you don't want blasted and blast away. You should have a blasting cabinet(ready made or home built), a respirator and safety goggles. You don't want to breath in the silica dust. I made my sandblasting cabinet from a laundry room tub sink. You can also do paste etching. US Cutter sells Etch All which is re-useable. It will frost the glass. This uses the same procedure as above. I hope my rough outline helps. Anyone else want to chime in with advice?

Nice!! I started sandblasting glass last month and I am having (pardon the pun) a blast. Just finished a Valentine's Day glass coffee mug for the wife tonight. Keep up the good work.

Just want to say thanks to you and all the members of this forum that share their graphics as well as helping members vectorize graphics. This is just one of the reasons our forum is so great.

Welcome from Florida.

I also have been told that the marks will go away. Do a test for yourself. Cut something and let it sit both in sunlight and in normal room temperature. My 2 cents.

Go for a new one and get the warranty and support.

You can re-use the Etch-all paste that US Cutter sells. I used it for the first time last week and got fantastic results. Guess I'm hooked on it now.

Does anybody have a Three Stooges graphic? I saw it posted on a Dec 29, 2007 post last week, but it's not there now.? Thanks, Arty
