Good Morning ..
I'm using SignCut Pro for cutting with my CoPam 2500. I just purchased/installed WinPCSIGN for working with Rhinestone designs/cutting templates. I was able to cut from WinPcSign fine. When I went back to SignCut the com 6 was gone. Will I have to install the driver everytime I switch from the different software programs?
Also, I read a thread earlier about contour cutting with CoPam and wondered if anyone found a trick. I'd like to figure something out for that as well.
Thanks for your time.

Thanks for all the great information. I've copied all the comments and will use as reference for picking my printer.
This forum is wonderful...

Thank you again. One day I "may" have this all down.... My old eyes get sore from all the research....

Question.... If you were buying a sublimation printer would you choose Epson 1100 or 1400/why? I read a blog the other day (TShirt Forum) that Epson printers were changing the circuit boards making it more difficult to use ink other than their own???
Also, what is the name of transfer paper that is like vinyl (this is for heat pressing) 3G opaque paper?
Also, what type of vinyl is recommended for printing (not for heat pressing)
I'm done THANK YOU Sorry so many questions.
This little hobby is costing me a fortune; but at least I'm having fun.... Nothing like spending your kids inheiritance. LOL

Thanks, I'll search for that tape. I haven't received my supplies yet but I will definitely keep you in mind for help.....

OK...I'm going to give Rhinestones a whack on some t-shirts. What type of transfer tape will hold up during pressing; for single placement I'll use my Glitz Up but when using a template I'll need a heat resistant tape to transfer the rhinestones to the t-shirt.
Thanks for your help(in advance)....

Thanks for your work. Really appreciate it.

thanks for the helpful information.

Question,,,, what if you alter a design .... then would it still fall under copyright infringement ... OR if a piece is so messy, with missing lines etc, that you have to revamp the image to create an image.
I guess the list could go on for ever.

Hello All,
I've already received some wonderful help from several of you and appreciate that beyond means.
I'm Nancy from St. Louis MO. I bought a Cricut back in November of 2009 to make vinyl signs for my den/work area and became frustrated with the time it took to cut something out and the size limitations; could only cut 12x24. I started searching different sites and before you know it I became the proud owner of my own plotter; Copam 24. Now I'm making signs for friends and coworkers at the speed of light; also going through lots of vinyl due to errors. But you have to learn somewhere and I learn something everyday.
I did, just today, buy a heat presser figured if I was going to cut might as well go for the gusto. I'd also like to get into sublimation. Soon I hope to have a website; but that will take SOMETIME.
Again I want to thank everyone for all their help. This is a great forum for information.
Nice meeting everyone. Have a great day and happy cutting.

OK ,,,,, thank you....

Is there a "special" USB cable needed for the 2500 CoPam? The one I got with the cutter isn't long enough to put the machine where I want. I thought about moving the computer and desk but that isn't really a good choice with the layout of the room.
Thanks.....

Thanks for the input. Decisions ... Decisions....

Thanks again everyone... I need to make my decision by tomorrow so I can get it here and practice. Already having people requesting t-shirts. I got my 24" CoPam about 2months ago and haven't stopped using it ... It works great for me.
It sure is nice to have this forum; everyone is so helpful and nice.

Thanks for the info. Not sure when I'll be getting the mug presser but I'll keep you in mind.

Sorry can't help but sure looks nice.

I need your advice. I'm new to heat pressing and ready to buy my press. If you had an option between Max Heat Press or SunIE which would you choose?
Also, I'm wanting to eventually get the mug press, I'm not anticipating using it that much. Would the SunIE mug press be a good choice or should I save a few more bucks and buy a better brand.
Thanks for your input.

Thanks guys I appreciate the help. After I thought about the "SB" I realized it was SignBlazer. I've downloaded the app but not quite sure what I think about it; having issues manuevering around.
Again I really appreciate your time.

On this sign I was using Century Gothic; I finally got to work. What I did was pulled the SVG file into Inkscape from a program I use called Make the Cut. I then filled the letter "l" which was my problem child for this sign and filled it in with the paint bucket. I then saved as an EPS file and it pulled up through SignCut. It cut fine.
As dumb as this sounds what is SB? LOL I'm a real newbie but learning everyday and enjoying every moment.
Thanks
