It sounds like the letters probably are filled with another color like white instead of the font color. I do not use sign blazer but that would be my guess.

I have seen heat welders as low as around $250 on ebay. I do a lot of banners depending on the time of the year. The thing is I get all sorts of request for odd sizes not really your standard 4x8 or whatever. Fellers does cut all of there banners. I stoped in one time to pick up a banner and I had to wait till they cut and hemmed it, they have no stock sizes which worked out pretty good. But just checking my options for somthing I can produce my self. I can't really find rolls of 13oz or greater banner materail under .95 per yard. I have seen banner blanks on ebay go for around .50 a foot. One guy sells 10oz banners sewn and grometed for about that price and another one sells 13oz heat welded and grometed for that or just a hair more. But finding odd sizes and colors is tough on ebay.

I'm looking to purchase a heat welder for hemming banners. Does anyone have one? If so are you happy with it / any good deals out there?
Thanks

Good job with the Algerian font. I usualy try to avoid it as much as possible. It is a pain to weed!

If you have real clean art you can use the auto trace tool

Illustrator really isnt a good program for cropping anything. You can do it with a clipping mask. You will be better off bringing it in to paint or what ever your computer came with then bringing it into illustrator.

Depending on what heat transfer material you are using Acetone does wonders for removing misprints and saving screwed up shirts.

Depending on how much weeding there is usually any order over 10 or 15 for shirts or coroplast I will screen print.

I ordered 14 hats from TSC appearel and they didn't tell me they were out of stock. They sent me 1 hat they had left and 4 week for the other 13 and charged me $12 to ship 1 hat. I had to reorder to get the other 13 after calling them several times to see when they wher in. you would think when they were in they would ship me the rest. I think I lost a customer because of it. thanks for the help!

Great! I posted that almost 4 months ago and though they might not exisit. Thanks

It could be the domed decals I've seen. A decal is cut and then a epoxy is put over them. The surface tension makes it dome until it hardens.

If there is still a little water under the vinyl it will fog up like that sometimes on glass.

I don't know what program you are saving out of. If you are using illustrator when you save as an .eps a dialog box comes up and you have the option to include document thumbnails.

Fellers catalog PMS colors listed for most of thier vinyls

I recently used some 3M scotchcal. It had a clear release liner, super easy to weed and it was the best vinyl I ever used. The price did reflect it. I'll see how well it holds up.

I've had something similar happen before. Turning the cutter off didn't reset it, but when I unplugged the cutter and pluged it back in it did the trick.
