They are a division of great northern. The company is just basically a ultra large warehouse and distribution center. There is signs on the doors and where you are to enter for will call. But really no offices to speak of, its just the six of them sitting in a small corner with the desks and some small dividers. Good company, very helpful and a great range of products. Just wished they delivered.

HOLY SHI*!!! has anyone ever charged $20.00 a foot for small lettering?

My wife is in the shop about 6 hours a day. Spends three hours doing accounting/billing and collections. then about 3 hours bothering me with whats going on in facebook or trying to get me to donate crap to charities. -
This weekends shirt run, 26 boxes and 600 lbs. Fun little weekend screen print project.

I have been to maybe 50, 100 maybe more rallies making and /or selling shirts. Most buy the bright colors for visibility while riding. I prob sell them 4 to 1 over black. But now if you go to things such as a bar sponsered event or a place with a bunch of fanboys then no, they buy black. What I am saying is most riders wear bright colors from what I have seen. Both sport bikes and touring prefer it from my experience. At the rally here in my home town last year, I sold less than 5 pcs black tshirts, over 300 of the safety colors.

Bikers rarely buy dark colors, Safety orange and green mostly.

It is actually 700 JERZEES - NuBlend® SUPER SWEATS® Crewneck Sweatshirts. So really not that many. I use a 4 color 2 station press and also a 6 color 6 station press. Same as the old octopus if you will. Everything is manual. Auto presses need to be fed way to much and this would be a small order for a shop with auto presses. If i start doing 500k or more a year than I might consider a auto but the employees that are needed to feed them sometimes are not worth the headache. haha.

Was not insulting or trying to be. Some people do not like to open them up. Most kids in any computer classes love screwing them together and would gladly jump at the opportunity do it for a few bucks.

PC pretty much dominates in the sign/large format printing market. Not to say anything bad or make others mad but limiting yourself not being familiar with a pc might hinder you in the future. Best bet go buy a screaming new PC tower in components and put it together. If you do not know how hire a high school kid to do it for twenty bucks. Should take no less than a hour to be up and running and no more than 400 bucks tops for a superb system. under 300 for something better than average. Then its new. No question about failure and will last longer than the cutter if cared for.

Grimco, Fellers, NGlantz, the list goes on and on.

Do you have a use for it all is the question? Just buying it to have then no its not worth it.

Email Addresses, am I in a minority....
mopar691 replied to edge's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
I do feel that way and believe any business professional should have a professional appearing email address. It is the first thing I notice when handed a business card or see any email address for that matter. And I do always ask when given a address such as gmail or whomever, if this is in fact their business address cause it appears to be a personal one, always makes me think twice and question them when purchasing something if I am replying to a business using a generic email. -
ya, i feel ya. It is -18 here, 25 mph winds with gusts over 35. this is a bear of a winter.

Who has a DTG with white ink option?
mopar691 replied to Dakotagrafx's topic in T-Shirts and/ or Garments
The problem is not many bags are cotton. Most are poly or nylon, fine for screen printing but bad for DTG. -
Can easily be printed and cut on Siser PU film.

This pic is old, I know as of this fall he still had the 4.0 V6 in this truck, when did he put in the V8? I know he was talking about and had most the parts, but had yet to fab up mounts and all that jaz. -
Be-Bond 3mm econo ACP is listed in their catalog for less than 40 per sheet. EMFB30. Talk to your sales rep. I normally get twenty or more at a time, really brings the price down also. But I am sure a little talking could beat the 39 buck mark also. When I get in I will look also cause I know some is cheaper yet.

Really these are no good for designers as the colors tv's are known to be very bad. Plus 30 hzs would drive a person batty after 8 hours I would think. What about viewing angle? It is never good on tvs and I am sure on a budget model like that it would be horrendous. To do it right get a nice IPS monitor or 2 and be done with it. I run one 27" ips with a native resolution of 2560 x 1600. and 2 24" IPS 1920's on each side and 1 20" 1440 that mirrors my main on a articulating arm mounted to the front of my desk for customers to see what I am seeing on my main monitor. I did try the new 30" ips from dell that matched my 27" but really it was to big for me. I love my 27 and it has been running strong for 5 plus years. Colors are spot on and viewing angle is superb with no color loss, darkening or bluing at even extreme angles.

Pretty much anywhere. I order most panels from N.Glantz. They have different grades also. Be-Bond is less than 30 per sheet, With some upwards of 60 per single sided.
-
for 35 to 45 dollars you can get a sheet of Di-Bind single sided and have 16 12" x 24" panels with no prep work and made for signs.
