I know this is totally not the norm or intended use, but my husband wanted flames on his seadoo. So I made them and they have been there for a year, what did I use? Oracal 631 lol. Just waiting to see how long they are going to last.

Thank you so much for all the advice an examples. I just have to figure out how to do all this as I am so excited but don't know where to start. I will get it all figured out and then buy my printer. So far I just purchased a swing-away press and easy weed so I can dabble a bit.

Okay I am getting down to the nitty gritty. I am purchasing a printer for sublimation and need to know whether I should by a clam shell heat press or a swing away. I will be doing shirts, coasters, mouse pads, key tags, license plates etc. Any input would help. Thank you

WOW!!! I could look at the pictures all day. You have me hook, line, and sinker. I am sold, sublimation is what I am going for. Where do I get all the blanks for the items you are showing? I am going to order it today. What is your opinion regarding the heatpress? Clamshell or swing away?

Thank you so much for your input. Your work is very nice. The high temp inks have to be put on 100% polyester shirts is that correct? Just a few more question if you don't mind, Do I have to have a special program to make these items such as yours? or could I copy and paste pictures I want to use? I have never learned to use any programs other than signblazer as that has been sufficient for what I have been doing, but I am going to want to get into mugs and stuff later. My total experience has been SB and inkscape, but I have never done any node editing. Thank you so much for your time. I had read another post you replied to a while ago and that is how I found the 1100 on the cobra site. Thank you for helping newbies like me.

I had two shipments come with rolls out of the boxes too, and I also store in the boxes. So now when I order I place in the bottom comments section: "Please keep all vinyl in the original box as that is how I store it." Since then all my orders have come with the boxes. I know it doesn't help you now but it will in the future.

I bought a P-cut 2 years ago for a craft/hobby and have grown a small business from that purchase. I am now looking to expand my little business and add t-shirts. I have read that I should get the siser easy weed, but what heat press would you recommend for a small business? Thank you in advance for your input. Shelley

I was just cutting some vinyl and the little window screen went blank and my plotter froze. I have turned my computer on and off. I have deconnected and reconnected the cord from my computer to the plotter. I have turned the plotter on and off and no change. Any ideas? The machine itself has power. Thank you, Shelley

Skeeter, Thank you for the advice, I did check the reset buttons but forgot to add that part. I carriage was stuck in place so I just manhandled it a touch and walla it is working again. Not sure exactly what happened, I have had it for two years and never an issue. Thank you for your quick response. Shelley

Hi all, I am hoping some one can help me with this. I have a small home business selling custom plaques with vinyl and vinyl wall words using Oracal 631. I have a website and would like to display my items similar to the picture attached. Question is can anyone tell me which software to use (I currently have a free trial of adobe elements 9.) I can down load a picture but how do I then add the word image from SBD? In this case how would I add the Heaven Sent words to the photo of the crib if I were doing this myself? I have a 24: Pcut that I have had for a year and I use signblazer with it. I went to cut something today and I get a message saying "Cannot open the output device. Error initializing cutter." When I have got this message in the past I would just turn my computer off and then back on and it would be resolved, but it hasn't worked today. Any ideas? Thank you for your assistance. Shelley

I friend of mine bought a small vinyl picture at a craft shop, but wants it bigger for christmas. I am fairly new and usually just cut wall words for my friends and family. I really like the decal too and would love to have one. They scanned a picture and sent it to me. Is there a way for me to get it in a format I can cut? I only have Inkscape and SB. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Shelley

I am trying to download a font from fonts101, I have downloaded them in the past and it is hit and miss on the ease. I am not quite sure what I am doing wrong. I download the font and I have tried both the save and open options. When using the open option I use winzip. I then click the 1 step install and that is the extent of where it goes. If I click extract that is as far as it goes. I remember there use to be a install when I right clicked, but it is not there anymore. When I go into the control panel then fonts and install new font, there is nothing there to install either. If there is some one out there who could help me, I would be forever indebted to you. I had this issue on my moms wall with 631 as well; the tennis ball works great. It has been up for 5 months and no issues.

I am trying to weld the word Hope in a script font, each time I try to weld it I lose the "p". I have tried this several times with the same result. I have also tried to group it. Any idea what is going on? I weld often and have never had a problem. Thank you for your help.

Does anyone have the and symbol that looks like a backwards 3 or do you know a font that has it? Thank you for all your help.

Thank you all for your help. Carl you are right that is very easy. I am pretty new at this and sometimes I over think things. I appreciate all the help everyone has given me and will give back in the future as I learn more or at least more than the next newbie
