I have a GRC-61 that does the same thing if you don't clear the buffer, if your plotter doesn't have a clear buffer option anywhere, kill it and re-boot.

I don't know if this will work with your plotter but you could try cuttingmaster. It's a plugin for Illustrator that i use occaisonally. -

We warranty vehicles graphics we install for 30days and permanent signs for 1 year. If it's graphics that cust installs there is no warranty, and besides that we do everything on a case by case basis. For instance we have striped Five fire dept trucks that we are having problems with except we striped them 3 yrs ago. We are trying to meet them in the middle in the intrest of keeping the cust.

Lexan, is there a proper way to install?
FrznFire07 replied to slice&dice's topic in Other Materials
is the box existing and you are just changing panels or are you making a new box? If box is existing, just look at existing lexan panels or even just the top track and it should make a little more sense. Essentially your pict.ure is correct although the bar would sit just below the top rather than flush. We have used Lexan scrap like mabscotthandyman saidor you can use angle iron. How the hangar bar is attached to the lexan really depends on the box -

Are you using a hangar bar? On most lexan signs over 48" tall you need a hangar bar to prevent the lexan from buckling. -
So any here that order shirts thru imprints they just change sites from Imprintswholesale.com to imprintwholesale.net We ordered shirts a couple days ago and our default shipping address changed to an address we used 5 years ago. Figures our shirts would end up 600 miles away on a rush order right? so check your accounts before you order!

Same here, I don't mean any offense either but what part of "rail" are you having a hard time with??? Are you trying to match the gradient and can't?

you ever have one of those nights . . . . you know we all do

we once did a 4' x 8' lusterboard with a complete overlay and all yellow reflective text double sided. Flipped it to do the second side, took it off the table and realized we laid one side upside down. Same job we had 12"x 96" double sided with yellow reflective arrow, laid the arrows going opposite directions. -

I hate to admit this but we are really bad about taking pictures of street banners. This is the most recent one I could find, I know have more I'll try and post them later. This is a 4' x 20' black double sided 19oz with windsilts. Just to clarify the town installs these not us, that's why they sag.

We use 16oz - 19oz freedom banner material from Fellers, reinforce the corners with triangle gussetts and grommets every 24". Tension cables for top and bottom of banner. and windslits cut in banner, if you don't use windslits even a little wind will turn your banner into a sail. we make these from 20' - 40' and 4' tall.

To all you guys in the minnesota, michigan, virginia or wherever areas, how much snow do you usually get? what kind of temps do you usually get during the winter? We get fair amounts of snow but its the really nice light powdery stuff! Great for snowboarding! We get pretty cold as low as -25 but there's not much wind and very little humidity. I'm just curious.

I don't normally post stuff like this but my computer guy gave us a heads up on this one and then I saw an article on MSN so check out the link, it's about the new Crypto-Locker virus. http://www.today.com/money/nasty-new-malware-locks-your-files-forever-unless-you-pay-8C11511655

One other heads up, yea backup your files but beware of what kind of backups you use, we use an online backup that sync's our files every night. so the virus would copy on to our backups before we even knew what hit us. I recently obtained an external HDD to do some "extra" backups because of this.

the only way rapid tac 2 works with cold installs is if you hit with a hair dryer after install to set the adhesive, we do a lot of cold installs, and in the past have had some problems because of it. If you're going to install when it's cold make sure it's still a sunny day. You need the sun to hit that vinyl, especially being black it will soak up the heat and the adhesive will set. I didn't mean to bash RapidTac BTW, we use it all the time, just make sure you apply some heat too.
