  1. I wonder if your cutting strip in not in completely flat? Is it always over on one side where you are having issues?

    Seems like completely flat. Its always on the left side(end of the job). But it works with the 45degree blade. Look in my comment below:

    Your force seems pretty low,   , like you have too much blade exposed,,so you can't use much force or it will cut thru the backing.  We have 2 CE5000-60 and force is around 9-10.for regular sign vinyl..(Using regular Graphtec blades).You should just barely see and feel the blade tip out of the blade holder. You should be cutting with the very tip of the blade and it doesn't take much blade to do that. Regular vinyl is only 3 mil and less.   It is less blade, more force.   Also make sure that you haven't broken the blade tip off. Maybe even try a new blade.

    I gave you the instructions above  2nd post, how to set the blade correctly.

    Can you show a photo of the blade tip sticking out of the blade holder?

    I see you are using a Clean Cut blade, that could be the reason your force is lower..  I am out ideas.

    I wrote with "Clean Cut blade" and they say force should be around 10 or 11 with there blades. (there website: Use 30-50% less downforce).

    Basicly all of my testing have been with 60degree cc blade. I tryed with a 45degree original graphtec blade, which didnt have problem with the end(left side) of the job. It still have issues with the testcut tho - it makes the blade-direction-change(looks like a "J" cut), then it cuts a good testcut, then the next testcut is bad. As if it doesnt remember the angle of last cut?

    45degree original blade settings:

    Force: 12

    Speed: 6

    60degree Clean cut blade settings:

    Force: 10

    Speed: 6

  2. Did some 120cm wide testcut and the blade is making way more visible in the beginning of the cut(right) and when you get to the end(left) its making less of a mark in the backing.
    Force 6 - if i use 5, it will have issues to weed.

    Hard to get a decent image. This was the best i could get. Light has to hit right, to see the cut in the backing:

    @knucklehead

    thanks for the info.

  3. Thanks a lot for helping.

    With no luck i have tryed: "Optimize cutting order: Restrict Media Movement" with 2 more in force.

    Vinyl: Oracal 631

    Cutting strip: http://i.cubeupload.com/ZB4JDt.jpg worn, no gouges.

    TEST cutting: Its just as weird as what i wrote in #1.

    I did the Force test and none of them worked - the left button corner wouldnt let go.

    I did the Offset test where they all would let go of the left button corner...

  4. My truck has 100 MPH on the speedometer also,,,  but I sure as heck wouldn't drive it at that speed.  Good luck

    I slowed my "truck" to 6 (speedometer has up to 60) and it does the exact same thing.

    Its in the end of the job. Some of the letters in the end is really big: 8cm x 10cm (3.5" x 4"). What might be the issue, since its not the speed?

  5. Hi

    I have a Graphtec CE6000-120 with a 60degree cleancut blade, with the following issues:

    It makes perfect testcuts and if i do a 70cm x 100cm job and starts weeding it, the beginning(or end, not sure which it is) its not problem to weed, but when i get maybe 75% into the weeding, it starts being hard to weed - its not the start/end(hangnails), but more like if its not cutting deep enough(not sure!). If i weed it slow, i can see that the vinyl just dont want to let go. I have to push it down, for it to do the last part of the job. Speed 25, same big lettersize in the whole job.

    What might be wrong? Works fine if i do eg. 10cm x 10cm

    Weird thing about the testcut:

    1. When i go into "cond/test" to make a testcut. It has issues in the left buttom corner = bad testcut.

    2. But if i go into "force" and saves it right away(makes no changes!), it moves the head a little and then i make another testcut, then its perfect(every single time). If i then make another testcut, it will do 1. again..

    What might be wrong?

  7. Hi

    How can i find fonts with a low number of anchor?

    Trying to make a collection of fonts, thats best for the plotter, so it doesnt have to to do so much work.

    I know the attached image is the worst case and im not looking for decent fonts, but the best there is.

    Edit: By Anchor i mean these points thats the cutter has jump between: http://ptgmedia.pearsoncmg.com/images/art_wood6_pentool/elementLinks/wood6_fig02.jpg

    Anything helps, thanks :-)

  8. Thanks for the replies.

    @knucklehead
    Is it only these two things i should make sure, there isnt in there paint? Teflon and silicon. or could it be more things.

    @Wildgoose
    I tryed to install at my parents house and it wouldnt stick at all. I think this is how we say it in denmark about there wall: "its glassfabric with gloss 10 paint". then i got home to my apartment, which uses "woodchip wallpaper with gloss 5 paint", which works perfectly. This is a bit confusing to me, so im trying to figure out what exacly i can write to the customers, so i dont lose all the customers, because i type "something to save". want to be as precise as i can.
    Is there a guide with images, that shows what textures is good and bad?

    @signyouup
    My plan was to send a small test-samle with sticker(maybe also offer at the webpage), so they could test it before wasting the wallsticker they ordered.

  9. Hi

    I just bought Oracal 631 for indoor wallstickers and i hope you can answer some of these questions related to that product. I really want to be specific for my customers, what is best and what is acceptable for them them:

    1.

    What paint is best on the wall? what is the minimum requirement for there wall? like how high gloss paint, what is the maximum texture etc.? it would be a shame to only tell them it would work on smooth surface, mat paint etc. dont want to limit who i get as customers, if it can sit on many types of walls.

    2.

    Baiscly all recommend to use Oratape ht55 applicationtape for Oracal 631, when we talk about wallstickers. Here in Denmark i can only get Oratape LT95, which they say is perfect for wallstickers. Is it just as good at ht55?

    Thanks :-)

  10. Any suggestions? Not sure how to get the two roller on each side to be higher and the belt thats going through the carriage, doesnt doesnt seem as if it could get any lower in there. So the only thing i can think of, if the carriage could get further down?

  11. @dakotagrafx
    Yes its running at 10

    @mr300s
    Im using CHEMICA vinyl and i did reset it a lot of times(#1)

    @dakotagrafx
    I wrote them yesterday, so hopefully they know something. Last time i wrote with them, there didnt come anything out of it. They didnt talk about cleaning up the carriage etc. Hope it can become a good combination of using forums and there help at the same time. I plan was to save money up for a new one and make a deal with the danish company, so i could get him to fix this for at the same time, hopefully for free.. Its very expensive to get it fixed! might as well buy a new one. $180/hour? why you ask. no idea.

    @Mz SKEETER
    No, but im sure it must have got a bump on the ride over to my place(new location. droven by car), since the carriage was loose later on

  12. @Mz SKEETER

    Thats what i hoped the 2. Would show. But its not making any visual sign/scratch/ hitting the backing (wax paper backing). Just a tiny bit(if i turn it less, it wont cut the material).

    @mr300s

    I just tryed with a new blade, spring, lubricated insite the head and made sure the carriage/head is clean(only have 4xzoom. need to get something better soon :)) and the spring is still on/surrounding the blade

    @dakotagrafx & Go-C Wraps

    Wanted to give it a try, to give myself better odds, so i hopefully soon can start cutting again. Just happy they didnt rejected me right away :)

    Did the following to what they suggested:

    "Its okay, im just happy to get some tips.
    I have now cleared everything in the carriage and in the head. I have lubricated it and i also tryed with another blade+spin. The testcut seems to have gotten better, but it still is a little sticky in the bottom right corner of the square. When i do "times new roman" test again, it still has many problem. Might it be the start/end point it is wrong with and what can i try next?"

    Thanks guys

  13. @mr300s

    I'm using Illustrator with graphtecs plugin. Have tryed both cutting master 2 and 3. I have the newest firmware as well.

    I did get it contact with graphtec, but that didnt lead to any solution. I'll try and write them again. But please feel free to give any suggestions :)

  14. 1. http://i.cubeupload.com/vpSJZu.jpg New cutting strip.

    2. http://i.cubeupload.com/PdOHgw.png It's a little difficult to see, but the corners on the square is doing the same thing as in #3. This is the perfect amount the blade is sticking out. If i do it any less, i wont be able to remove the testcut, without having issues

    3. http://i.imgur.com/L4PsgPA.png?1 "times new roman" text cut on the left and peeled on the right.

    4.

    At times it will start making a sound while its bouncing quickly to the left and right. When i move the head with the arrows, it stops right away. The carriage is nice and snug/not moving anywhere.
