  1. Hi Skeeter would that be the same as break apart command? I tried that first. I then tried your suggestion but it was not highlighted so I clicked select all and group, then ungroup was highlighted so I checked that and no difference when sent to cut/plot page. All three items still show in on red outlind box.

  2. I have layed out three different images on the design page. My question is can I send them to the cut/plot page and size them individually? They show up seperatly on the design page, but when I send them to the cutter they resize as one image. I would like to be able resize them individually and cut them all together.

  3. The vehicles are mostly restored vintage army Jeeps and trucks. The finish on the vehicles is a flat slightly textured surface. The is your typical spray can type of paint. What concern me was most of the paint mask products including Oracal listed waterbased adhesives and I did not know if that would be a problem

  4. Anyone have any experiences good or bad with paint mask material? I am looking to buy a roll and need some insight on the different brands. I was looking at the Oracal brand at USCUTTER, but it has a water based adhesive and I am just not sure how that will work with solvent based spray can paint.

  5. Yea but the bad news is I have it.  :'( I wonder why it doesn't do it with the spiral file. Maybe I will delete the program and redown load it and see what happens. Man I sure like the spell check on this forum I have always wondered why it was not available on the forums I frequent this is a first :D

  6. Yes it does everytime I try to import the star image into signcut. That image should not be any different than importing the spiral image correct?

  7. Just gave it another go. I opened Inkscape and click on the spiral button, made a spiral and saved as eps file to a folder on my desktop. Opened signcut clicked on file browsed for file on desktop opened and click on spiral.eps and it opened it signcut. Then I did the exact same thing with the star graphic and got the error message again and signcut closed. So everything was exactly the same except I had a star instead of a spiral  :D

  8. Yea I just tried it again and it attempts to export into signcut and then a windows error message pops up and says that signcut.exe has stopped working click to close application. I can use the text box on signcut and send to cutter and it seems to work fine. I just can't get the file from inkscape to open in signcut.  :D

  9. Hello Dakota, in one of my many attempts I did. Placed it in a file in "my documents" and signcut would not open it, even tried to drag and drop it in signcut and that would make signcut shutdown. So this time I made the image in inkscape by pressing the star button and dragging cursor to make star and then went to EFFECTS button and scrolled down to EXPORT and click on SIGNCUT which was the only option there was. Went to signcut and it is no where to be found.  :D

  10. Hello Kimon the version 1.05 WIN I am using Vista 32 bit. Not sure how to upload the file or where to. It is just a star created in Inkscape by pressing the star and polygons button and then saving. So I would'nt think it would be corrupt as nothing was added or altered.

  11. Okay guys and gals I'm sure I must be the latest newbie to the forum. I just purchased a Copam 2500 and had it up and running straight out of the box. Which I was quite relived after reading all post from other people with connectivity problems. What I bought it for is mainly to cut paintmask stencils for vintage army jeeps and the like. The hood numbers and stars sounds pretty simple enough. I'm using signcut and have cut the numbers and figured most of that out okay and I have made the correct size star in inkscape, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the file from inkscape to signcut. I have read numerous posting with similar problems and tried a few of the answer to those posts. just can't get the darn file there. Any pointers This is my first experience with cutters or anything like this.
