I make decals as a hobby and a friend of mine is looking for 100-300 of the attached logo. I am looking for quotes to produce this large order. I do not need the black background and they will be going on car windows, I am open to suggestions on different types of materials. let me know what you can do. I use sign blazer and have a SBE file ready to cut. plum district.EPS

I am looking for someone else to produce the decals.

I will sometimes include another item with their design for free, to give them an idea of what I can do. Maybe a small corplast sign, or magnet, or larger decal, etc. whatever makes sense for the customer. At the very least on big orders I run an extra decal or two. I tell them they can give them away or replace one that may be damaged on install.

Can anyone help me print/cut these? They are for my nephews hockey team and I don't have the experience to cut something this detailed and large. I need the Locker Room file 20" wide and the Home Of file 15" wide. The Locker Room file is going on a door and the Home Of file is going on a window. The team is likely to order 2-3 more, as well as a large banner if we can work something out. I also need them shipped and received to the Boston area by Thursday the 15th. home of.zip

I just ran across your thread. Not sure if you figured this out. I have made a solid cut line in SBE, but never actually cut it. So I don't know if it will cut as you want, but you can give it a try. Select the Polyline button, draw your line, when you have your line as you want it, hit the "select button". Doing this will leave an open line.

I am not sure if it is a bad file from my client or if I am doing something wrong. In SignBlazer I go to import, select the file and try both of the import mode options. I have a customer wanting a metal auto emblem for his truck. Think the Ford oval logo but with a custom design. I though about using a small aluminum sign blank, but I wanted something with more depth. Any suggestions?

I have a customer looking for a magnet for his pool maintenance business. He has seen other signs with a water background, similar to the attached that he would like. Anyone have an idea where I could purchase a blank with the water image printed on it?

I do vinyl cutting and t-shirts as a hobby. One of my past customers has asked me to get her a quote on a 500 piece order. The most I have done in the past is 2 dozen. She wants 500 tie-die t-shirts with a simple 1-2 color print on the front. I am not planning on cutting that many shirts, but I did think about having some custom transfers made up and than just pressing them on. Am I crazy to even attempt this? Should I just design the art and have them screen printed? Any suggestions on getting the tie-die shirts or custom transfers?

I have my first boat request. The customer wants a complete job of removal, design and instal of new graphics. I have never removed factory graphics from a boat before, will this be difficult? I have removed plenty of graphics, heat them up, remove the vinyl and than remove remaining adhesive with Goo Gone. Same process, just more of it? What would you charge for removing the graphic?

I thought about doing a lifetime warranty... The warranty would be only valid with a copy of the invoice and void if the decal was applied improperly. The catch, the warranty is for a replacement decal, does not include removing the old decal and applying the new one. Removal and application would be at an additional charge With the cost of supplies such a low percent of the actual decal cost, I could easily re-do a few decals. In fact, I probably mess up more decals myself then I would get warranty claims. I think I would be covered in several ways, them not having a copy of the invoice, the ability to not warranty the product if improperly applied and at the end of the day, if even 10% of my customers came back 5 years later, I would build a huge customer base as a reputable sign supplier. Just my thoughts for a sales pitch.

I opened it in SBE and when I go to cut, it says it is a bitmap image. I then tried to pull it up in inkscape to convert it a vector image and inkscape won't open the EPS file. Am I missing something? Thanks for you help and ideas.

When I first started I placed an order at vinyl outlet to get a good variety of colors. They carry 631 and 651 in both 15" and 24". http://www.vinyloutlet.net/ It does get pricey at $3 or $5 a yard, but if you need several colors then it is not bad way to go. Shipping is about $10.

I put this together and it works great, thought I would share as I have learned so much from this forum. Parts cost about $10 and took me less than 30 minutes. Parts: 24" 1/2" threaded rod (found at Home Depot/Lowes near the metal brackets used to hang garage door openers) 4 - 1/2" washers 3 - 1/2" nuts One 1/2" wing nut 2 - 6" by 9" 3/4" wood, hole drilled for rod. 2 wall support clips for wire shelf system (must be flat back, not with wall anchor attached). Or use whatever you have around to keep the dispenser from sliding when you pull the tape. Here is the order of assembly of parts onto the rod, from left to right: Nut, washer, wood, washer, nut, app tape, nut, washer, wood, washer, wing nut. Good luck.

I want to create some custom running shirts for friends, but the Under Armor (and most other brands) of the moisture wicking shirts say do not iron. Should I be concerned?

I have a customer that wants a large decal but is worried that they won't be able to line up the separate pieces on the wall. I am shipping this so I can't install it for them. I have a 24" cutter, the graphic is 60" x 44" with one horizontal seam. The best I can think of is printing reg marks to assist them with lining them up. Any other suggestions on a fool proof install idea?

Try saving it with a very small DPI, about 15. I can't save very big files, when I try it looks like it works but the file is not there.
