  2. noone uses the same name for the unit because they come unnamed from china lol. this unit is around $200-$500 from a couple chinese suppliers depending on how many are bought.

well...if that is the case then its amazing how well they are for that price. I paid over 2k for my 40" and it cuts EVERY bit as good as my Roland sp300v. its also super quiet, blazingly fast, accurate, tracks well. I just have ZERO complaints about it right now. If i could get another for 500 like you say, id buy 3 right now.

since you are the only person here who actually has the cutter, and is qualified to judge it... I,for one, appreciate your input. Nothing like first-hand experience.

if you look around a lot of LARGE sign supply places sell them. look at their prices, if they were not truly worth the amount, no one would sell any imo.

I have the ROland sp300v,the copam, a gx400 and the jaguar 40" and I think they are all good cutters. my rolands and the jaguar are GREAT cutters though!

Your Roland Sp300V is a printer first and a cutter second.  It doesn't cut near as well as a regular Roland cutter. ;D

mine does. if yours doesnt you should call roland bc it cuts every bit as good as my roland gx series.*edit*I could have gotten lucky though.but if im not mistaken they are built from same cutting platform.

  5. So you already have this new cutter?

I think he is saying it looks like the gcc ja-101s,which he has.

    www.dpshatan.com/pdf/gcc/JaguarIII-DM.pdf

correct! and judging by the pictures posted on uscutter its a rebadged one. even same specs. FANTASTIC CUTTER.

Jaguar IV instead of older III.

sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! I dont see myself needing a new one soon bc they are really fantastic cutters but if i do, im calling yall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. I would find it very hard to believe the tracking is better than a Graphtec.

i would say they are equal.

as for price, lol i dont want to say how much i paid but it was a LOT more than what uscutter is selling the black for. and for that I say 2 thumbs up for them offering a super product at what looks like a great price!

  8. Jspek, I found one of my old laptops that runs Xp.  As far as the cutter, can you guarantee there arent any defects?  And how would you take payment?  Paypal?

    A video would be nice...

    Thanks in advance.

i could do paypal i suppose. as for guarantee..i can take a hd video and show you there are no defects. i can video it cutting this weekend as well if you like. Im assuming my warranty is transferable?? I will get a video for you.

  9. I want to say i am all  ;D ;D :) at seeing that cutter. the 40" looks like a gcc ja-101s(positive it is) and all i can say about that is that it CUTS!!The nice thing about them is that they make virtually NO NOISE. They cut super accurate. and track very well

thumbs up to us cutter for selling these

  10. How is the tracking on the copam? It would be hard to tell due to the small amount of cutting you have done but I am looking for something with alot better tracking than my pcut and I have heard good things about the copam

that i do not know. I wish i could tell you a honest answer but unfortunately i can not.

  11. can you post a pic of some fine cutting after you got the new holder to show it is cutting correctly now?

sure, thats not a prob at all =)  just give me a few days to set it back up as i had boxed it up in the packaging. but that is more than do-able. any particular thing anyone wants to see it cut?

  12. FS: is our 24" copam. It is about 4 weeks old. has cut about 3 yards of vinyl was having problems at first with fine detail but pen holder revealed the blade holder was bad from factory. have a new one on the way =)

other than that the machine cuts fantastic. these machines have a great warranty and support from this site  ;D

    included is

    pen holder

    new blade holder

    flexi starter with dongle

    and of course the machine!

new this would be over 800. will sell for 650 plus shipping. any questions let me know.

sorry im just soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo darn excited to get everything setup!!!

  14. JSPEK, that is good to know... perhaps you could start by allowing the blade to swivel as smooth as a Graphtec. If you place your finger on a Graphtec blade, it will swivel flawlessly. That alone is important for plotter accuracy.

well....take pics of the guts of a graphtec holder. im sure its the quality of bearing making all the difference..I will look into it and see what i can do..I will start looking for bearings today. Im assuming it is basically same concept? blade in bearings?

OR if graphtec is larger or smaller...maybe we could take a graptec holder and turn it down to fit the copam...or add a shim if its already smaller. =)
