Anyone have any Rival art templates? www.rivalart.com If not maybe something similar. Thanks

My cutter doesn't complete cuts on very small letters so I have to use an x-acto knife. It helps to cut unopened cuts while weeding and to make weed lines in small intricate areas. Hey Let's start a poll on who uses what for weeding!

Flexi Offset
Cable Tech replied to John Thomson's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Discussion
I'm running .13 offset on my 721 and Flexi and that seems to be the sweet spot on my machine. I am using a 60 blade. I think the offset is the same on a 45 and 60 if i remember right? -
I imported the image into Corel and it was just too jagged and small to make anything out good enough to work with. Try the attached image and maybe integrate it into the sign. Unless of course it has to be an exact match. 141_02.EPS 141_02.EPS

I searched forever and finally found a heat press on local Craigslist for $100. It was like new! It wasn't fancy, with no timer, but it does damn good! I could have got a used one on Ebay but shipping would have killed me! These things are damn heavy. Good job on your find. Wish I could have got some shirts with mine
-
I also bought a used press with no timer. I got a digital timer at Wal-mart for less than 5 dollars that works perfectly.. Keeps you from saying, "one-one thousand, two-one thousand............"

I have Flexi and MH-721 and mine doesn't finish the bottom weed line of the box either. I'm sure there is a fix but I haven't messed with it. I'm just happy my cutter is cutting properly with no major problems...

I've been using that font more than any too!!! It just seems to flow good. Are there any more substitutions in place of this font?

Here is my futile attempt. Probably not the best that could be done.. Using Corel, I just used the pen tool and adjusted as I went. This is a Rally Sport emblem on an older Camaro, isn't it?? Graphic1.svg Graphic1.svg

What do you all use when somebody asks for Gold vinyl?
Cable Tech replied to ravenlee's topic in Vinyl
Sign looks nice core. How did you cut and lay it? Did you lay down the entire gold outline first and then layer the black on top of it? I'm getting ready to do a design with these same colors on a truck. just curious... -
I came up with an easy and cheap idea and wanted to share with everyone. Made a trip to Harbor Freight today and got a couple of outfeed table rollers. I think they were 6 bucks a piece. They even come with the brackets. Just mount them to a board and clamp it to the table. Thats it! Works like a charm! These are only 13" long. Not sure if they make longer ones. I just use 12" tape for now so it works perfect for me.

That's exactly how mine is set up , and I haven't had a single problem. I always suggest using a "real" serial port and never mess with USB at all. I am using the older Roland pnc 1000 drivers as well. If your computer doesn't have a real serial port, then get a serial port add-on card. Or you can buy an older cheap Dell desktop somewhere and dedicate it just to cutting.

If he is doing this in vinyl, I want to see a step by step video of it. I would pay just to see that !!

Looks good Mader. You sure have a good sense of design work. That design is real "busy" but the way you did it makes it flow really nice. Do you mostly use Illustrator for design work? Do you hand draw all your designs on paper first?

I'm getting ready to letter my sister's truck. I've been looking for some kind of program that displays side shots of vehicles to show her what it's gonna look like before I cut. I know there are programs for body wraps for different vehicles, but I'm simply wanting side images of vehicles. Maybe something I can modify/change the color of the vehicle? Does this make sense? I know my local Big O' tire store had something similar to what I am wanting. It was a program to display rims on different models of vehicles to see what they would look like. I would like to save it and email the finished project. thanks for any help!!

Anyone have an extra blade holder or maybe even two of them laying around from a dead cutter you'd want to sell me? I didn't see them on their website. I'd rather pay a used price though since new ones are probably too much for me. I'd like to quickly switch from Oracal 651 to Siser Heat Transfer to Hartco Sandblast mask and would hate to have to re-adjust the blades every time. pm me and we could work something out... Thanks
