Beware...these guys are enablers! They can find unlimited ways to spend your money! And it's all addicting to creative minds. Sue2
-
YES! They are fantastic. Sue2

Yeah...never trace text unless absolutely THE ONLY OPTION. Big waste of time and effort...all it gives you is practice at node editing. You will never get it nice and clean as reset text converted to curves. Sue2

I'm with skarekrow.... who's going to be looking too close at that? "RENEW" your font please! Sue2
-
Really? I never heard that before.... so much for doing stuff way ahead! Thanks! Sue2

Jay, I've seen the 7X Upgrade for $199 around but not the whole initial package with disk. I'm a CorelDraw fan...first started with FreeHand many years ago.... then CorellDraw 3.0 Never got comfortable with AI...I can work in it but..... Sue2
-
BTW...CorelDraw X5 is on Holiday Special (@ $125) now at US Cutter..a good deal! Sue2
-
Nope, doesn't work for me.... as with echoshelton above it says coupon applied...but no discount appears. Maybe mine is because I am only ordering already marked down items and they won't give additional $$$ off. BUT that Facebook ad does say EVERYTHING SITEWIDE. Sue2
-
I tried it too and it didn't work...then emailed Customer Service to find out what was up..... basically they said there was no such code! Here is what they said about it: ************************************* USCutter is dedicated to being the lowest cost, highest value supplier of vinyl cutting equipment, sign supplies and more. You can always count on us to bring you the most competitive pricing on all your favorite products. Although we don't use discount codes, we sometimes end up with returns, extra product or just need to make room for new inventory. Be sure to check out our "Specials" category for tremendous deals on one-off prodcuts, demos, materials and supplies. USCutter also sends out a weekly Newsletter offering short term sale pricing and promotions. These are typically only available for a couple days and only available to Newsletter subscribers, so be sure to sign uo\p now! If you're looking for discounts and screaming deals- this is where you'll find them! *********************************** So, what is that facebook ad above??? No thanks to us loyal forum members advising all the newbies to buy to better equipment and then helping solve their various issues. Those of you who got the discount got lucky! Sue2

decal pricing question
Sue2 replied to restless-rooster's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
That's quite a difference... Just cut & weeded or installed too? If you're installing you have to add your time and travel too. Sue2 -
I have an HP5500 Aqueous wide format printer with UV inks... and have found that the inks hold up very well if I over-laminate the sign with a UV Laminate (over 2 years in full sun). Costs more but, the laminate also protects the sign from scratches etc. Sue2
-
Well, the black held up for 2 weeks..... RUN...don't walk away from THAT stuff! Sue2
-
Not quite what the customer had in mind here..... I guess it's just something else to check for...... BEFORE the install. Sue2
-
You probably could call and tell them your sad tale of finding out about this discount the day AFTER you ordered.....a considerate vendor would be nice and give you the discount...(or product equal to the discount even). Of course, you would come back here and provide some REAL GOOD praise & feedback!!! Sue2

DESPITE my years I fear!

Basically, if you are selling it to customers... your good name is at stake here. With the internet now, the word gets out fast if you are providing poor quality stuff and sales will suffer in the end. Better to charge a bit more and provide a product you can be proud of. Try to pre-test your stuff so you can confidently state "This will last 1-2 years". AND/or have a reasonable replacement policy. Just my 2 cents....... Sue2

Hmmm...let's try Valued50 then!!! Sue2

Yup...the learning curve on all these programs is steep and those 30 day trials are barely just the tip of the iceberg. PLUS, when you are regularily using several programs you start getting the commands mixed up...and forget which program you are working in! Or is that just old age? ? I forget.............. Sue2
-
Sublimination...LOL I don't need another avenue to learn/explore right now! Sue2

Never tried mugs with vinyl. So, how long does the vinyl hold up and still look good? Can they go through the dishwasher heat cycles too? Sue2

Thanks for the Xmas gift USCutter!

Found it in the Spam Box! But it seems I have to register with My Vinyl Designer to get the freebies. Okay...Thanks to US Cutter! Sue2 -

I don't find any in my email. Sue2 -
For 50.....I would do it manually. Sometimes it is wiser & faster to number by hand for small quantities. Done & out the door! Not worth the set-up time....unless you NEED to learn how to do it in your program. Sue2

Sisser is the easiest to weed of the three I have in stock... (Sisser, Fibron & ThermoFlex Plus). Old shirts are okay...but why waste a perfectly good design? Go for it! Check out the outlet shops for marked down Ts...just be sure to wash them in case they have sizing or other treatments on them to prevent wrinkling. AND REMEMBER MIRROR!!! Sue2

Parchment paper works too....Costco sells 2 big rolls (15" x 164 feet each) for about $10. There are a bunch of Heat Press Videos on YouTube... watch several and you'll get the idea....the hardest part is the designing, cutting & weeding. The actual Heat Press part just takes muscle! Sue2
