You're handcuffed when "renting" your programs by the month also... stop paying and you can't use the files unless you saved to a universal file type like eps. AND I am sure they are trying to figure out how to eliminate that too. Sue2

I don't know why..... the vinyl tends to shift on me when I try to cut out of small pieces. Sue2

I understand, I like to cut from smaller pieces too.....my Graphtec doesn't like little pieces... so I save them for the LaserPoint...which will cut just about any little thing as long as the pinch rollers will hold it still....the LaserPoint's grit roller is all the way across the machine...that helps. Back up your external drives too! My last drive failure WAS the external back-up drive! My Seagate back-up drive failed and it took $100 and 24 hours to retrieve the files stored on that drive...even then, some were lost or damaged. Moral of the story, Back-up your Back-ups! You can't have too many back-ups. AND while you're at it...back up those flash drives...they fail too... or get lost...or fall into the toilet...or .................... Back-up your installed fonts too.....think what a pain it would be to find & re-install ALL your fonts. Sue2

Like WG said above...look for "BOLD" versions of the font first. If I have to, in CorelDraw I add stroke to the letters...then convert to curves, convert to object and in wireframe view delete the inside lines & stuff....it takes time fiddling around to get it all right. BUT, you can only add so much around the text before it starts looking strange. Easier to find another font that is bolder...there are plenty of them around for FREE! Sue2

Case in point....I run a print/copy shop. Another shop across town just now called to see if we had time to make up two sets of 100 business cards each for two guys that just walked into their shop....it's 4:15 pm here! They want them today! Do they really think we can drop everything and do their job ahead of our regular customers? These are people you really don't need...they will most likely not plan any better for future orders either. Yes, occasionally I will stop and do something quickly for a customer that has gotten into a fix....but I really am wary of dealing with people who start out behind. Sue2

The problem here is, if you don't charge something for RUSH orders, you are training your customer to delay things to the last minute..... EVERY TIME! Allowing a good customer an occasional RUSH order is okay but a new customer should be charged a fee to push your regular customers ASIDE. Sue2
