    Tearing up edges

I feel your pain. I too want to cut small items and can't get the speed slow enough. The problem is obvious so I don't know why it is taking so long to get resolved. I am thinking about asking to return the product for a full refund. I hate to do it since this cutter is here, works on big stuff and since the fix would be as simple as a firmware replacement, but I am losing hope in ever getting this resolved. I am thinking I better give them at least a month before I through my temper tantrum (only been about 3 weeks for me).

s205521, I'm still waiting too. My machine hardly gets used as I wait for a fix. Howard emailed me on Monday (9-7) and told me he would let me know when I has any news.

You're correct, a firmware change in and of itself doesn't make it a "bad machine". What it does do is seriously limit the usefulness of the machine if you are planning on cutting anything that is at all intricate or small. If the capability of the machine is so limited I would have liked to have known that before I bout this machine so I could have considered another machine (maybe the LaserPoint). A car that only go between 50 and 100 mph isn't necessarily a bad machine either but it makes it hard to drive around town.

    Tearing up edges

I have ordered a PCUT to replace my Roland Stika because I do a lot of small cuting and was having this issue with my Stika. From the info I read in this thread my new PCUT that is arriving on Tuesday will not solve my problem. I guess there is a chance my machine will have the old Firmware but likley will have the new firmware. Any suggestion on what to do? I don't want to unbox a new machine that is already bad. Thanks, in advance, for any advise you may have for me. Tooliak
