For the life of me I can not get this darn thing to read registration marks. I get errors reading them. Or I get a port read error. I moved it to a new computer and even installed Corel X4. And still nothing. I have read EVERY forum on the internet on it and see alot of people have this issue with it. (c200-20) And I hvae tried EVERY solution offered and still fails EVERY TIME. Anyone ever get one to contour cut ? THanks Mark

Well haven't used the cutter in a couple of weeks. And even then sparingly. Tontie I seem to have lost my LCD. Its all garbage with lines and faint characters. Tried turning off then on. Tried unplugging it. Checked my static grounding. Kinda pissed considering the small amount of usage its had since I bought it. what else is there to try ? Whats a new LCD cost cuz I can't see to set the cutting speed or force. Mark

My refine came with 3 45 degree blades. If its the masking tape looking stuft that should come off. (at least I took mine off). If its a white strip that belongs there. The other thing I don't know. I do know that when I first started with signGO I had the cut image in the middle of the cut layout and thats why. Once I put it were it was in the proper place it started cutting in the right place. When are these chips gonna be back in stock. Been out of stock for awhile. How do you tell if you have older model or not. And were are the instructions for changing the memory at. Didn't see any in the cheap manuals sent with my refine mh-721 Mark

Hello Anyone gotten the Stahls cadworx (www.cadworxlive.com) to work with the mh-721 ? They only list 3 cutters Roland GX-24 Ioline 100 Ioline 300 If it won't work does the cutter cut the PLTX file ? Thanks Mark

Hello The options are Roland GX 500 " GX-400 " GX-300 " GX-24 " CX 500 " CX 400 " CX 300 camm- 1 cx-24 camm -1 cx-12 I choosed the GX 24 So far seems to work but not sure if all the language commands are right. Thanks Mark

Okay I got it to work. Kinda. I use the roland gx-24 driver. I set up the cardworx to use the printer driver for it. My question is in the language setup it has Initialize - ;:H A L0 ECN U V1032 shutdown - PU0,0; stepping is .025 mm (I think this is wrong. I think thats for inches. ) for the initialize I copied what was in the signgo setup. For shutdown its what is is in the stahls vectorcut program. Not sure if that is right. Or the stepping. Any help aprreciated. Thanks Mark

howdy MH 721 has been running pretty good . Have a couple of issues and couple of wierd things. Biggest issues is with the vinyl falling off the 2 bars that hold it up. Seems at times while the cutter is cutting and the vinly is going back and forth it will just fall off. Normally no biggie but sometimes it canks the vinyl and causes it to jam up. The other issue is when I have cut a part of the vinly out of the roll and go to use it again. When the vinly is rolling back and forth the cut part will get stuck either in the crevice of the "ruler" on the backside or it makes the vinly jump up and then jams up going under the roller. Anyone esle have either happen and if so found a way to fix them ? My other issue is that at times it seems like the cutter goes into a power save mode or something. The LCD screen disappears. Nothing on it. Power is still on but no LCD screen. The red light is still on but no lcd. I have to turn off and back on. Pressing the buttons doesnt bring it back either. Using the LPT1 port. And the last one is sometimes the program Signgo and cutter stop talking to each other. This normally happens after one of the top issues happens. Vinly jams up the head and I have to turn it off. I hit cancel to stop the program and recut but then the cutter never starts up again. Sometimes turning off/on will start it cutting again sometimes not. Today I had to shut down both twice to get them to talk. Any ideas on this one ? Oh one last one. Seems on the first cut the LCD is in gibberish. Like japenesse lettering. I swear it sas SAW and garblly gook. Kinda like when you used a laser printer with the wrong print drivers back in the old win31 days. Any help or insiight appreciated. Mark

Hello I got my sampler pack of vinyl. However I guess USCUTTER thinks we all been doing this for sometime cuz theres no docs of any sort. You think they put in some cutting forces to try. I hate wasting things cuz I have to guess at it. Anyway I need some info. Whats a good force to try to start to cut this stuff at ? Is this cast or calendar vinyl ? Also I have never done a sign vinly so what esle do I need to put this stuff on ? My first attempt with this sign vinyl is to put the Marine Corps Eagle, Globe and Anchor on my jeep doors. Howdy Using a Refine MH-721 with XP SP2 and signgo software. At times when cutting I look at the LCD and see wierd characters on the screen. Or if you ever printed to a laser using the wrong driver. Kinda llike when you view a japanesse or korean website w/o translating it. Sometimes it cuts and sometimes it don't. Any ideas why ? Thanks Mark

I uninstalled the signcut x2 (use signgo) and since then my mh 721 is not working. thing is only like 6 months old if that. No longer in the device mgr is my com 3 there. in add/remove prgms the fdi coverter is shown there and does not allow it to be removed. I have d/l the file form the uscutter site and no go. I tired to install the mini disk. no go I tried reinstalling the signcut x2 and no go. I get only unknown device in the device manger. I can not get anything to install/uninstall or work. XP SP 2 is what I run. Test works on the cutter. Help Thanks Mark

XP SP 2 is what I run. Test works on the cutter. UPDATE : I bought a new usb cable and still no go. I moved the cable to the back of the computer usb ports and still nothing. I tried to add the com port but says com3 in use so I believe the usb is dead on the cutter. So tried the lpt port and it works. It appears the usb port may be dead. Sucks. Now wish uscutter wasn't so cheap and sent a lousy 6ft parrallel cable. I mean how many people really have the cutter that close to the cutter. Now I have to go find a lpt cable long enough (10ft or so) or guess send this one back and have the usb port fixed. Its still under warranty. Wonder how long that will take. Thanks Mark
